Having recently finished Deep Space Nine, it's impossible not to recognize Jeffrey Combs' voice. Made me do a doubletake - "There's Vortas on Norcadia??"

Same goes for J.G. Hertzler, aka Martok. Really made me miss the Alpha Quardrant.

The whole episode seems to be written to convince Dwayne Johnson to make a (very) brief appearance. And it worked as, according to imdb, this episode had the highest ratings of the season.
Which I find rather sad because people were probably tuning in to see The Rock and not Star Trek. And since neither his role nor the story itself is memorable you can ignore this one. It's also quite easy to recognize when they used the stunt-double for Jeri and when it's her.

Seven gets captured, does MMA with The Rock and reaffirms her humanity. Guest starring the reincarnations of General Martok as a Hirogen and Weyoun as a bipedal Catfish.

It's MMA. Before MMA became popular. With aliens. One of them is The Rock. How old is that guy then? In one joke, Steven Colbert mentioned they're the same age - I thought that was a baseless joke ....

It's a mediocre, inconsequential, light episode (perhaps unevitable due to last weeks's episode). It's entertaining but - except for the Spartacus rebellion element - it certainly has no double layer, no scientific mystery, no philosophical core. The problem Seven experienced felt artificially appended to the story. I can't see how that experience could endanger her emancipation from the collective. A wish for survival is human, isn't it?

It has one good line though:

B'Elanna: "The Borg wouldn't know fun if they assimilated an amusement park."

It's The Rock... Beating up on Seven.
