This is terrible. I had hoped Jar Jar would contract the Poo Shadow Virus but was not that lucky.
Overwrought acting, either because everyone is so (cough cough) sick from the virus, or because Anakin is going all "MY EMOTIONS!" about saving Padme and Ahsoka. Throw in a mini-Wesley Crusher and a random planet with a vague mythology, and you have a recipe for a grand shrug with a hint of annoyance. The one highlight were the visuals when Anakin and Obi Wan went to destroy the laser grid, but otherwise this was a clumsily done emotional story that Anakin and the people he cares about couldn't couldn't carry.
Not really sure where this storyline was going to go but the moons of Iego was... something. Most of the issues in this episode can be chalked up to people being stuck in one place for most of it's runtime on both ends and then when the issue is indeed resolve it just kind of... is. Zero buildup, everything is just miraculously ok. I understand that this show is for kids, and that's something important most people need to understand of course, but at the same time everything comes so naturally here it doesn't feel like there is any stakes here.
Still, it's not all bad. I like how Anakin's emotions get the better of him throughout most of this and Obi-Wan's reassurances to calm him down are what keep him sane, which is a great character beat. And when they do get to the planet of Iego it's a fun premise and idea - one that maybe could have used a whole arc to utilize better rather then have half a episode.
Sometimes clone wars picks the most random episodes to be two-parters. I love how absolutely unsubtle Anakin and Padme are about their secret marriage. They may as well make out in front of the Jedi council given how unserious they are about keeping their relationship hidden.
The most important part about this episode is Anakin saying “poodoo” lol

If the Republic had send Binks to the Separatists the war would have been over within a month.
And maybe I'm projecting a bit but it seems that Obi-Wan is beginning to suspect something concerning Anakin and Padme.
