I absolutely loved this. This was definitely an amazing character driven episode. The story was entirely forgettable.

It was great to see Jodelle in an early role. She did a wonderful job. I loved the fawning over Sheppard and then the immediate 180 to then fawn over McKay. Harmony was the right blend of spoiled brat and conniving woman. I absolutely adore her.

The story really didn't hold up to the last 5 or 6 episodes. It had its moments, but the episode entirely depended upon the interactions between characters. And seriously, more Genii? Can't we be done with this pathetic group of people. They are just so annoying and completely unnecessary to continue to bring back.

Thankfully Ferland has great on screen chemistry with both Flanigan and Hewlett. The trio kept the show going when everything else was lacking.

Colonel Carter Count: 8/14 episodes this season. Teyla and Ronon didn't appear in this episode either, though, so maybe this one shouldn't count as Carter "skipping" a week…

Wow… I don't know what to say. Seeing Jodelle Ferland's name in the guest star credits had me all excited, but the story (and character) we got absolutely did not live up to the hype. This was the most tedious possible pseudo-copy of season 2's "The Tower", with none of the intrigue or suspense. Ferland's usual screen presence couldn't save the mediocre (at best) plot.

Seriously, if Harmony is "too young" to be queen, why is her sister's solution to have her killed?! What a petaQ.

And can the Genii please stop popping up any time the writers need an adversarial element that's not the Wraith? Surely there are other militarily-inclined worlds in the vast Pegasus Galaxy.
