What the hell is Tayla doing just standing there while Ronon and herself get shot? She takes an assault rifle to go exploring in Atlantis last episode when nobody else does. Now she is on another world in a potentially hostile area, and she doesn't have a weapon (or at least doesn't fire it after she puts what she is holding on the ground). WTF?!?

So after a fair stupid opener, the rest of the episode is actually quite good. Lots of action. Lots of good character development. Even some good sitcom. I love Woolsey stuck in the conference room. So entertaining.

And speaking of Woolsey, he has some very touching moments in this episode. His range of character is no doubt due to the superb acting of Robert Picardo. He pulls everything off to an incredible perfection.

Very average. Seemed like the writers weren't quite sure what to do with Woolsey in command instead of Woolsey the antagonist, so he's kind of just… there. Picardo does what he can with the script, of course, but I felt sorry for the actor being boxed in like that.
