In spite of John Billingsley being a wonderful guest actor, his role was genuinely annoying and the other "other guys" were even worse. There is annoyingly entertaining, but these guys were just annoying. Nothing about this episode was good and it made little sense that a Jaffa would attack a Goa'uld, even if they thought it was Tok'ra. I can't imagine a Jaffa having the balls to attack a god on the off chance they were wrong. They would instead report to another Goa'uld and that Goa'uld would deal with the situation.

And the attempt to get free was really half hearted as O'Neill never bothered to use the Jaffa as cover from other Jaffa. Then suddenly they are invincible against dozens of Jaffa? Horrible writing, even if it was all a dream.

John Billingsley holding an early 2000s Dell laptop, standing next to a ring transporter, is somehow very amusing, and I don't know why.

Of course I'm absolutely here for the Star Trek gags. I choose to believe that Felger's daydream was only about the medal ceremony, and not the entire episode, because I just couldn't take the overused "it was just a dream" trope again.
