1x02 These People, These Places

I am very much into this.

It's cool, slick, thoughtful, it has its own style... It's throwing references around while doing its own thing.

Feel like we have a hit.

I haven't seen much film noir, but, they've been dark but satisfying. This fits in.

I'll keep with it for now, but geez this is a show trying way to hard to be showy for showy's sake versus just being a well written modern noir. Excessive voice over, cuts to old Hollywood movies, funky visuals, and way too many secrets within secrets within secrets. And yes, I'm aware there's some massive - and apparently problematic - twist, but I actually am not aware what that is, even though it's obvious the show is hiding something. I enjoy noir type stuff, which is why I'll stick with it for the moment, but so far, if it wasn't Colin Farrell playing the lead, there's no way this show ever gets green lit.
