the pilot was awesome i really loved it! the fights scene and everything are so realistic for a tv show and the story is great! can't wait
That was quite cheesy and very rushed pilot imo. We had the intro and then she saved the airplane and then she fought the bad guy and then bad guy even died before series could take a roll. Not to mention, the whole DEO suddenly knew everything and Fort Rozz, it was poor Supergirl fault all along and they also took 12 years to prepare and her mother was judge and aunt is on to revenge. The way every dot is connected with Supergirl. Well, maybe it was my fault for hoping more out of a superhero show. Let's hope it would get better.
This is a good pilot episode to a show which I think I'm going to love in its entirety. can't wait to see where it goes.
Ugh. That was awful. Even for a pilot, that was terrible. My only hope is that it's not the actual first episode - that they leaked this version so that we could all tell them how bad it was, they could re-edit it, and release a decent episode.

I understand creative freedom, but I think the writers of this show take a little too much.
I disagree with Mehcad Brooks being a miscast for Jimmy Olson. He's a good actor and in this day and age changing the race of a character happens sometimes and that's totally okay, and this is an amount of creative freedom I can accept. The series is also still an adaptation, not a carbon copy. However changing his personality too, as far as we have seen, goes to far in my opinion.
Also sticking out like a soar thumb are the action sequences. They have good moments, however one bad shot can ruin the entire scene, what happens in every sequence. (Example is the second kick in the final fight of this episode, it just feels so weird). This pilot definitely feels rushed and sloppy in some places.
Let's hope this show just needs to get up to speed.
was ok i kinda wish it has some actors from smallvill and linked with that a bit more, then i would off liked it more. I'll keep watchin for now.
I wanted to like this show so badly. I love arrow and flash, but this show is was honestly garbage. Bad acting and bad story. It was all the things I don't like about superman condensed into one hour
Lameness is the only word I can think of. So overdone a remaking of the same old story, but for all the girlies out there.

I don't think the chapter is bad, it is understandable that they explain it so quickly, and the sequence of the chapter is essentially a pilot, the problem is fine and the rest are intuitive, it is digestible, it is not so heavy and the fact that the plot shows us the antagonist and the family problems that exist, I think they give rise to an entertaining series Whether it is good or not depends on each person, I think I will see it but not yet It's okay, there's not much to say, I think it will be predictable to a certain extent.
Is an ok pilot, I’ve only seen season 1 so far but it’s a bit cheesy, there’s arrow which is kinda dark then flash which is cheesy and a bit more unrealistic but still a little dark, and then we get supergirl sn upbeat cheesy unrealistic monotonous female lead show, but since I’m watching them all together it’s a nice variety that are all linked.
So there is a plane with an engine malfunction, and instead of an emergency landing, the pilot keeps "circling around the city" long enough for the TV reporters to catch the news. Riiiiight.
Is all this show going to be this cheesy and stupid? I'm only 10 minutes into the first episode and I'm already almost done... :thumbsdown:

OK, I'm out. I don't know how I managed to survive the whole pilot episode, but that's it for me. I don't know what's worse: the terrible acting, the extra cheesy lines, the lame action scenes, or the dumb history full of plot holes. And to think I had this on my watchlist for over 3 years! :person_facepalming:
well this episode i really did love it i did rewatch and i gotta say i love it everytime i see it how she started being Supergirl cause she saved Alex on a plane and then finding out about the DEO wow this was alot in one awesome pilot episode love Kara and Alex awesome Winn and James also epic and awesome gotta see more of Cat Grant

I really enjoyed this a lot. I wasn't sure I would, because I tend to find Superman boring and was not familiar with Supergirl, but this was really enjoyable. I look forward to seeing more. :)
It looked like a romcom, jfc. It was so bad and so boring and the leading girl is the worst part. It looks like they're trying to make a superhero show out of a bad version of The Devil Wears Prada.
Solid, exciting and emotional pilot! I haven't seen one like that in a long while. Definitely off to a great start.
who is this "actress" that plays the main role, and who did she pay to get into "acting" ?
Though Supergirl is really wonderful (I mean the actress, of course) it looks pretty like the Flash and I don't think it's very nice. Look: in both series there're some villains who have superpowers and the only one who can beat them is the main character. Guess who is going to save the world? So, although the plot is cliche I'll go on wathcing, may be it'll become more exciting some day.
Checking out the pilot on CBS and already spotted Dean Cain (once starred as 90s Superman in Lois & Clark), and Ally McBeal; good cast! #Supergirl
I am fairly disappointed by this pilot episode. It had a lot of bad dialogue, even worse script writing and the acting was just horribly overdone at some points. And I am not even talking about it being rushed or the completely out of character Jimmy Olsen. But since it is superhero themed, I will of course be following it anyway xD
At least it wasn't as bad as the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (first part of) season 1.

Well, I must admit althought I never was into the Supergirl/Superman comics I liked the pilot. Looks really good technically. If they can come up with some good storylines this could make my watchlist.

I saw the pilot and loved it. I just have a problem with the miscast Jimmy Olsen. I don't think I will ever get used to the buff, black, confident and studly version of him in this show. Since was never any of the above. Although I'd be more open to him black if he wasn't...buff, studly and confident.
Which just isn't Jimmy Olsen.
After watching the trailer i was really excited to watch the pilot and lucky it leaked, after watching it i wanted more. I think this could be an amazing show
That CBS's first look was garbage. It sold the wrong idea of the show. This pilot is awesome! It has potential.

I am cautiously optimistic about Supergirl based on this pilot. It was a bit clichéd and cheesy at times and some of the CGI was questionable, but ultimately a lot to like as well. For comparison's sake, I actually liked this pilot more than the pilot for The Flash, which is now one of my favorite shows! I look forward to Supergirl joining the pantheon of superhero television.
