Whilst the episode didn't advance that much plot-wise, I did enjoy the episode. Lena was amazing, probably her best episode so far. I'm not buying that shit that she still hasn't figured out Kara is Supergirl. They make her so smart and cunning and that just makes her look dumb. For Pete's sake, she even remembers being flown by Kara. Even if she didn't believe that, she can connect the dots. The "I flew here on a bus" was a hot lead. Cat figured out who she was in a split of a second, the same with James. And Kara needs to stop hiding from Lena.
Seeing Momma Luthor was an unexpected surprise. And she brought the Lexosuit with her. That was great.
The whole Morgan Edge character is terribly written. I said that episodes ago. He doesn't go beyond being a bad guy who enjoys being bad but in an uninteresting way. In fact, it seems as if the writers are forcing him to be a bad guy when he doesn't even appear to be threatening. Btw, it's almost impossible that that evidence sticks in court. That's confession under duress. If that ends up sticking, Edge's lawyer would ourrival Cecile in the Flash.
For once in a long time Mon-El and James were useful, especially the latter. In fact, he got quite a lot of screen time. However, I couldn't help but laughing when he was interrogating that corpse, and he kept on shouting "What did you give her?", lol.
Do you remember when Kara opened a giant hole in the elevator and nobody noticed it? Well, now she caught Edge's keys without even seeing them in a room full of reporters and nobody noticed it. That should've at least raised some suspicions.
Sam is lovely. The whole "You're not alone" speech hit me harder than I expected. That was just beautiful. Sam opening up was really brave for her part, even confessing she feels as a burden for Ruby.
"4 steps ahead". Nice.
I didn't quite get the "don't grab women scene. That was a stupid line. The security guard was just doing his job in stopping someone's tried to sneak in.
Alex saying she used to work in Seattle as a do tor was a nice reference. By the way, is there something Alex Danvers cannot do?
"I had a job actually at Seattle for a while." That Lexie Grey nod made my day. Ahah! Also, Lena can't be this smart and still not figure out Kara is Supergirl. I mean??? Which leads me to believe she knows the truth but chooses to keep playing oblivious out of respect. Maybe she waits till Kara tells her herself. Idk, it's the only way I can respect the character. Otherwise she'd be looking mighty stupid, especially after being badass the entire episode.
Can someone explain to me how Reign is bulletproof yet her skin can be penetrated with a needle for a venipuncture.
That mention to Man of steel. Chyler Leigh recalling his days in Gray's Anatomy
I just feel like this episode is the weakest of this season so far. Just not much really happened apart from the return of Lena's mom which I must say I really liked. Apart from that I feel as if this episode was an unnecessary waste of my time
What Guardian did was reminiscent of what Superman did in the comics..

So Alex used to be a doctor in Seattle, huh? I see what you did there.
