To call it all, not only does he plan the mother of all giant bugs, but also steals the photo that has survived everything instead of taking a photo as a normal person would do. Btw, if you want to know everything about the boys, take photos of, idk, something from the boys and not MoL stuff.
Those jazz interludes were kinda awesome, though. I guess jazz music fits British spy music. And Dean's coffee thing tactic was a bit lame, but he nailed the delivery. Jensen makes the trick, though. And Sam's mails, lol. Yeah, Dean is the kind of guy who would send his little bro viral videos. I relate so much.
"How does Sam get his hair so shiny? How many ratty flannel shirts Dean own?", lol, always asking the important questions. love how they ask themselves the important questions. They'll not rest until they find out.
I'm a little sad we didn't get to see more of Dean struggling to get out of the chair. It was a nice touch to see Sam saving the day, though. I love how these season the roles are reversed and it's Sam's turn to do the heavy lifting.
That last scene with low-rent Christian Bale staring at the photo was so disturbing. It's either an obsessed psychotic and delusional by thinking that Mary'll be ok with her boys dead or having doubts. He's a total psycho, though. I love David Haydn-Jones' portrayal. He does a great job. If it wasn't because of him being ready in love with Mary, that last scene looked exactly as if he was plotting a "mommy is still the week spot". His twisted mind. When he found the photo in the drawer I though his twisted mind got straight for a moment, but that stare at the end. I'm not sure. I think he's having doubts and that's why he took something the boys will notice it's missing. Wonder what his plan is.
All in all, the episode was full of memorable quotes. Appreciation to:
"I stayed up all night going through every book we have in demons...and it turns out we have a lot of books on demons", lol. I couldn't relate more (not demons, though).
"Hello? Goat dude?", lol. Dean, never change.
I loved the twisted version of the boys' motto: "Hunting people, killing them, the family business". Sure that Pete is not a distant relative of Dexter? Dean's face, though, lol.
And my favourite "What is it with rich people? What are they like: Croquet is alright, but you know what would be great? Murder!", rotflmao.
Honestly, what an amazing episode! I miss the old Monster of the Week episodes that are all dark and creepy. And this one was definitely creepy.
All this Men of Letters crap is going to end up blowing up in their faces and watching them go head to head with Sam and Dean is going to be so satisfying. What deplorable people to have a superiority complex. God, maybe it wasn't so bad the Men of Letters were wiped out in the 1950's.
All this talkin' about the end and 100 years from now whose gonna remember us kinda stuff is making me sentimental. :(
Awesome! #GOATBUSTERS. Such a good classic monster of the week episode. Horror, intrigue and fear all in one. That's old school. It was just one rock song away from having everything a Supernatural episode needs.
Leaving the campfire early is a horror trope. Cold open guy doesn't know the rules of a cold open. You just don't do it! The Sheriff was sufficiently good-looking for me to make him suspicious. Always suspect of the taxidermist.
"What's our legacy?" If anything, this episode made me realize how not ready I am for this show to end. I'm so not ready for the "after we're gone" speech. That last scene about legacies with Sam and Dean craving their initials into the bunker's table was so touching and emotional. The callbacks to their childhood was also a lovely touch. And Sam's hand was so shaky. It fucking killed me.
I sometimes forget how easily this show can make me weepy. It certainly put a smile on my face. If I didn't know they renewed for season 13 I'd be freaking out right now. The mere though of the show ending horrifies me.
How dare those BMoL violate the bunker? Look what happened to the Stynes. Just catching a glimpse of those limey sob wandering around, I felt hella violated.
Mr Ketch-up is just a creepy psycho killer. Man needs therapy. Like yeah, the Winchesters are gonna leave the Colt laying around. He just took all his men to break into the bunker just to install a big ass microphone! It's just the most eminent bug under the table in the whole history of bugs under the table! They have a typey, typey but not small bugs? Smooth Ketch. It's almost as if he wanted them to know. Plus, didn't they notice the holsters under the table? I'm dying to see their faces when they discover that giant bug falling due to its own weight. Seriously though, that bug was massive.
the two guys from alex strangelove were here
Creepy episode! Classic, old-school Supernatural! Seriously, this is so much better than having to watch Lucifer lick the floor. Just like season 10, this season's main story is so boring... So, I'm glad for these filler "monster of the week" episodes, for bringing good ol' Supernatural back.

This one made me wish Sam and Dean were a little bit brighter. They definitely need a security system and some cameras.
