Damn! Even after 12+ season they know how to bang on those heart strings. Even a roughnecking thundercat would have a skooch tear in the freaking eye. Brilliant!
Wow I loved the parts with Billie! Even though it was just a conversation between her and Dean I was hanging onto every word that was said and I'm so excited to see what 'work' she was referring to. She was so adamant that when the boys died next they were to stay dead so to see her tell Dean to keep on living it must be important. I also want to see more of her reading room and all of the times they died and came back
I love when episodes start off MOTW but then that gets resolved quickly and it turns into an almost surprise episode that sets up the larger narrative arc. I'm thinking back to Thin Lizzie in season 11 (which was also episode 5) which I really enjoyed for the same reason.
And at the end when Sam is asking what happened when Dean was dead, I was shaking my head disappointed when it seemed that Dean wasn't going to tell, but when he explained it all I sighed with relief.
It was a really good episode that had a little bit of everything that makes the show.
3 words: CAS IS BACK!
FANTASTIC! Supernatural punched me right in the feels (again). Such a good classic MotW episode. Horror, heartbreak, laughs, Impala talk and epic rock music.
What a roller-coaster of emotions. I love when the boys work a case together. Very S1-like. Shawn and his drawings reminded me of the kid in "Dead in the Water" and how Dean got close to him. I didn't want him to die. Seeing his mother at the end hit me pretty hard.
I'm so glad the writers addressed the season 10 finale. Death's back! Well, congrats for the new gig, Billie. When the camera panned to show her with the scythe, the noise I made wasn't human. Her showdown with Dean was so interesting I couldn't even blink. The subtle soundtrack was awesome. The dialogue was on point. So intense and sad. When Death has more faith in you than yourself. Even Billie is team Winchester now. That library, lol. Intriguing.
"I don't matter" my heart does a backflip and jumps out of the window. Hearing these words coming out of his mouth hit me so hard. You do matter, Dean. Gut-wrenching scene. I though Dean wasn't gonna tell Sam. I'm so glad he did. He's super depressed and just needs a big win. And now Cas is back. That's what Dean needs. I'm so worried about him and my mental health. I can't stand watching him like this.
Cas is finally back! Please, just be normal. Please! I was expecting a "Hello, Dean", though. Next week we got our big Jack and Cas reunion. I'm gonna die of happiness.
Sam trying to cheer Dean up was the most adorable thing I've ever seen.
"You spent the whole song trying to convince the girl that she should go to nursing school", lmao. I'm dying here. Can't stop laughing. Jensen's delivery, always on point.
Dean brushing aside the reaper was hilarious. "Hi. Dean. Little busy right now", lol. Dean and his mountain of bacon. That Rowena forshadowing.
I'm loving this season more than words can express. Well-written and directed. Highlight of the season so far. Fantastic!
The first half of the episode was fairly average but then when Dean pierced the veil and Billie turned up, it got a lot more interesting. Currently wondering whether, when Billie was talking through Dean's Death Shelf (lol) and she mentioned being "burnt by a red-haired witch", whether this was something that had already happened on the show and I've forgotten, or whether it was alluding to the fact that Rowena is still alive... Hope it's the latter.
Hmmm i wonder what's with all the "12 Monkeys" (tv show after the movie) references. The mask AND Shawn's mother are both from 12 Monkeys. Its got to be intended. We could have had just one reference not both. Billie's return...hate it. A bad actress with no emotional skills...i would have preferred something more complicated and not on the nose... next reaper to die becomes death...weak sauce. The show makes me wonder...why a nephilem can be stronger than what was created by god. It makes you wonder what can a child of 2 archangels can do
Oh man, I missed you Billie ♥ lol
i don't know why but I just loved this episode
The most hard to believe thing about this episode wasn't the ghosts, but the teenagers handling video cameras in 2018, instead of their mobile phones. Also, of course the Winchesters would leave town by bright daylight to arrive at the nasty doctor's haunted house late at night... Did they cross the USA to get there?!
Joking aside, I was absolutely loving this episode during its first half: everything was classic Supernatural, with just the right amount of creepiness, h(a)unting and bromance! Then Billie came into scene and everything turned into a bore-fest, switching to the stale soap-opera this show has turned into. Meh.
But, hey, at least Cass is back!... Or is he? :>
What I like the most is how they found a way to bring back Castiel in a way that made sense, wasn't cliche, and maintains (relatively) continuity, and isn't too bs regarding unused repeatability.
But, with Sam and Dean... apparently Billie just declared them invulnerable, so...
Till Billie, twas boring and usual episode of Supernatural but then, phewwww!

Oh lord Dean was killing me in this episode, it was in a way very strong emotionally, I really felt everything Dean was going through, he have all this guilt of not being able to save people he care about then this episode make it even harder on him by not being able to save that kid and seeing him as a ghost was emotionally painful
The biggest surprise of this episode was the return of The Annoying Reaper Billie
Of course no one likes Billie cuz she always wanted our boys dead or more specifically staying dead, and the surprise was that she got promotion and became Death itself, so does that mean we gonna see the other Horsemen of the Apocalypse or just Death for now idk
Anyway, Death confirmed that even her as one of the strongest entities in the world can't know everything and wanted to know how Dean went to another reality and came back.. This makes me wonder how powerful exactly is Jack cuz it seems like he's doing things that the strongest creatures in the whole cosmic can't do or figure out, like ripping the reality to another world or when he wakes Cas up in the Empty.. I'm so excited for Jack
The last thing I want to say is finally we can say Welcome Back Cas!!
Dean wanted a damn win and I think by the return of Cas we can say he got what he asked for, I'm really excited to see how the boys gonna react next episode and how this gonna effect Dean's mood
Anyway great episode 10/10
