"Fight God? Without the gun? It's God, Sam! And he's coming for us. How the hell are we supposed to fight God?"
Now, that's a quote. And one hell of a powerful ending.
Supernatural never ceases to amaze me. That ending scene crushed my soul. The desperation in Dean's eyes was so vivid it hurt like hell. His body language changed the minute he discovered Chuck was still around and toying with them. It was absolute perfection.
"Sam and Dean's routine case turns out to be anything but". Turns out that, although weird, the episode's description was on point.
The description, along with the title and a certain Trickster behind the camera, got me intrigued and worried. A somehow easy case turns out twisty, full of comebacks and foreshadowing. From the werewolf killing his brother and freaking Lilith being alive again, to Sam's increasing visions, everything was perfect.
Well, except something that bothered me. Where would you keep a gun that can actually kill God? In the trunk of the Impala where no demon can get because of a devil's trap? Wrong! Just keep it casually in the glove box. Definitely a more secured space. Way to go boys.
The whole one brother has to kill the other as being foreshadowing, along with the re-introduction of Amara loving her new life got me thinking, what if it's actually Amara killing Chuck? After all, they're also brother and sister and we all know that for the world to survive, light and dark can't exist without the other. Shit has got to hit the fan if the show's gonna end with one brother killing the other.
I love how meta the last episodes are getting. In some scenes it's like they're just literally mocking themselves, which ends up being actually genius.
I loved the callbacks to agents Mark Hamill and Dean Ford from S01E03 "Dead in the Water", when they used exactly the same identities. Their photos from season 1 and the running gag on Jensen's age made me laugh. I seriously loved every character questioning whether Dean was the same as in the picture when Sam looked like a baby.
I also love how the boys are upgrading their hunting techniques. The silver pen's a great addition to the list.
The whole Lilith being back was something I hadn't remotely considered. I loved the twist. Initially, I thought she was back because Belphegor played her horn. What I wasn't expecting was that God brought her back to do his dirty work.
If memory serves, the canon in season 13 was that God had no power over the Empty. Has that been forgotten? Was the Empty led to believe that she was the only one in control? Are God and the Empty working together? We all know that God tends to lie and that he can basically do as he wishes, but I hope there's an explanation as to whether God has control over the Empty or not.
The actress playing Lilith did an awesome job. She reminded me of the first Ruby. I was glad she wasn't killed and I hope we get to see more of her because we didn't get to know her that much throughout seasons 3 and 4.
Seeing the boys staying at motels again makes me nostalgic. I love that the boys have found their home in the bunker, but I so miss those motel sets.
I loved that Sam figured out the puzzle of his visions already. As in, what would've happened if Sam went on with the demon blood, or if he'd said yes to Lucifer (can't ever forget that wonderful scene with the white suit) or if Dean hadn't got rid of the Mark of Cain. Yeah, foreshadowing aside, free will's gotta play an important role.
Why doesn't Dean remember they've already faced a cosmic being? Besides, Dean and Amara were connected and I'm sure she'd help if she knew what Chuck's going on about.
Even though the first episodes were a bit over the place, it's turning on to be a potencial great season. We got Lilith back, ghosts from early seasons... At this rate I'm just dying to se the Yellow-Eyed demon back.
The moment Dean says "How the hell are we supposed to fight GOD?!", I immediately thought Amara 100%. She doesn't like Him, and she's just as powerful as Him. Actually, more powerful than Him, because God is in a weakened state
Those winchester boys are the embodiment of incompetence, it's astonishing
At least Sam cares that Cas is gone (and I don't care what's in the show, it will forever be "Cas" to me).
I wonder...is Sam having these dreams because he's connected to Chuck and this is what Chuck's planning? If it turns out that Sam still has his demon powers after all this time, I'm gonna flip a table.
Dean does look mostly the same. It's the VOICE that reveals time.
Why wouldn't the hospital have given her a Band-Aid or something? They're just inviting infection.
WTF??!?!? Now, THAT'S a twist.
Since Chuck is indeed making exceptions to beings sent to the Empty. So seeing Meg, a few friendly monsters (like Benny), and maybe some good angels is certainly within reason.
Yep. Called it...

Where do Sam and Dean get the cash from for food and fuel and stuff?
Keeping secrets is what narked me off about this show.
Engrossing episode.
Yarn yarn yarn

And the award of the world's worst father goes to GOD
give my boys a break, I'm really worried about them.. And considering that God himself is their enemy makes it even worse
Honesty Chuck can go to Hell, what a crybaby.. He's too childish to be God, makes me question his title.. How he became God makes no sense considering his behavior
Also the foreshadowing of brothers killing each other STOP IT!!! we don't need that, we didn't ask for that.. Sam and Dean can't kill each other, family is family, and family always comes first.. I'll be extremely angry if the show ends with one killing the other cuz that's not what they are, they sacrifice themselves to protect the other and when they face a problem that requires the death of one of them, they refuse and always look for alternatives.. So pls no more shit like that
Regarding Cas I hope he comes back, we're in tough times and can use his help
At the end I'm really digging the idea that Sam and God are somehow connected because of their wounds.. I wonder if Sam can spy on God's plans that way and be prepared to whatever he writes.. It might be our best bet boys
Note: I didn't mention Lilith cuz honestly I didn't care about her return, she can go to hell with Chuck too
