Sudden earthquakes and torrential rain... Teams compete to develop the "ultimate daily wear shoes", strong enough to protect the feet during disasters, yet light and comfortable to wear. Formidable craftsmen from 2 venerable firms take up the challenge in 3 battles: the "battle of impact resistance", in which a weight is dropped from above, the "battle of water resistance", to see which shoes stay dry as water is sprayed over them, and the "battle of puncture resistance", where the shoes are tested against nail punctures and the like.
