Gemma is expecting Captain Sinker back from her holidays, so she is surprised to find Captain Captain there instead. The Captain produces a message in a bottle direct from Captain Sinker explaining that Sinker is not coming back and has officially handed over command of the Scarlet Squid to Captain Captain. When Cook and Line read the rest of the message, they discover that Captain Sinker has been given a new ship, the Crimson Catfish - one that actually floats and sails on the sea. Captain Sinker has decided to go off on some new adventures and, what's more, she is inviting Cook and Line to join her. The thought of life on the open sea, with treasure hunts and definitely no slop, is too much to resist so Cook and Line head off to pack. But later they start to worry that they are making a mistake by leaving - they will miss life on the Scarlet Squid, playing fun games with all the Swashbucklers.
As the official captain of the Scarlet Squid, Captain Captain has made her own addition to the shipwreck - a shark tank. It is home to her two pet sharks, Ethel and Gertrude. Captain Captain instructs Cook and Line to brush her sharks' teeth, but they are scared of the sharks and do all they can to avoid brushing their teeth. Captain Captain insists that sharks are not scary, simply misunderstood, and she sings a song about how lovely sharks really are.
aptain Captain is in a grumpy mood because she hasn't had her pre-game feast. She calls on Cook and Line to feed her, at which point they proudly present her with some of Cook's disgusting seaweed porridge. Captain Captain orders him to make something else, something delicious. Later on, Cook reveals his new dish: seaweed super soup. Captain Captain is doubtful of cold seaweed soup, but once she tries it she realises that it is the most delicious thing she has ever tasted. It's so good, she wants Cook to make some more so she can sell it to other pirates and get rich. A huge list of her pirate friends send in orders for the delicious soup. Cook's new batch is almost ready and he has only one final ingredient to add, seaweed. Unfortunately, there is not a single piece of seaweed left on the whole island. How can they make seaweed super soup without seaweed?
The ship is a mess and Cook and Line are hiding from Captain Captain because they are fed up with doing all the work. When Captain Captain demands that they tidy the place up, Cook and Line decide instead to capture a couple of Swashbucklers and turn them into their new mini pirate crew who will do all the chores for them. Unfortunately, Mini Cook and Line are just as clumsy as the real Cook and Line, and soon the cabin is a complete mess.
Captain Captain is surprised to find that her whistle has been replaced with a small fish. When she calls on Cook and Line to explain, they reveal that they took her whistle to give it a good clean, but the precious whistle, which has been in the Captain's family for generations, ended up in the slop. The captain blows the whistle and soon discovers that it doesn't whistle anymore. She demands the pirates get her whistle whistling again. Instead, they try to convince Captain Captain that whistles are so last season, and they offer her a selection of possible replacements including a duck whistle, a toy trumpet, a kazoo and a harmonica. Whilst they are lots of fun, none of them can replace her precious old whistle.
Captain Captain is in her usual competitive mood. She is determined not to lose any of the jewels today. Her crew, Cook and Line, on the other hand are not nearly as focused and don't understand why Captain Captain always wants to win. They are far happier playing their own made-up games just for fun. She tells them not to be so silly and to focus on beating the Swashbucklers. Later on, Captain Captain is reeling from having already lost a jewel. She hates losing. Cook and Line point out that it's not all about winning. Captain Captain is flabbergasted and points out in her handbook where it clearly says that a pirate must never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever lose, ever! But, despite her determination, she continues to lose against the Swashbucklers, so Cook and Line put together a 'How to be a good loser' training camp.
Captain Captain, one of the meanest and greediest pirates ever, is shocked to find Cook and Line collecting gold from the Swashbucklers to help the 'Save the Sea Monster' charity. It's all the idea of Little Sea Monster, a visiting guest from Justin's House. Captain Captain insists that pirates TAKE treasure, they do not give it away. She tries to grab the treasure for herself but Little Sea Monster is too quick and escapes with the loot. But Captain Captain is determined to get her hands on that treasure.
Captain Captain is determined to keep a hold of all the jewels today but during a surprise jewel inspection she discovers that Cook and Line have lost the blue jewel. Rules are rules, and she must have all the jewels available to give to the Swashbucklers if they win. She commands Cook and Line to find the missing blue jewel at once. They decide to empty all the slop from the Ship's Mess to look for it.
Cook and Line have been practicing their pirate skills so they can beat the Swashbucklers, so Captain Captain is shocked when the silly pirates enter completely tangled up in rope. Cook and Line explain that they have been practicing their knot-tying skills, and surprisingly they are terrible at it! Captain Captain gives them her own Little Book of Nautical Knots to practice their knot-tying skills. Since they can't tie any of the knots in the book, they make up their own knot - and end up tied together and completely stuck!
Cook is reading his favourite comic instead of paying attention to Captain Captain or doing any chores. The Captain angrily threatens to send him to the brig - the place where naughty pirates are locked up if they don't do everything their Captain tells them. Cook pretends to be worried but then goes back to reading his comic. Later on, Cook is still reading his comic instead of slopping out. This pushes the Captain too far and she commands him to go to the brig as punishment. It doesn't have the desired effect, though, as Cook just seems to be relaxing in the brig while Line does all the chores. Cook points out that if Line is naughty then perhaps Captain Captain will send him to the brig, and then he can take it easy too.

Cook and Line want Christmas to be fun, but Captain Captain is ruining things with all her Christmas rules.
Cook and Line have been looking for new ways to beat the Swashbucklers and have been taking ideas from a book all about weird sea creatures. Cook has dressed up in seaweed in order to look like a leafy sea dragon, and Line has added some googly eyeballs just like the four-eyed fish. Captain Captain doesn't believe these creatures exist, even though Cook and Line insist they are in their book - along with spiny lumpsuckers, ghost shrimps, blob fish and clown frogfish. She demands they learn about some real sea creatures. But Cook and Line are determined to prove that the creatures in their book are real.
Cook has caught pirate pox. He insists it is harmless and that everybody catches it eventually, but Captain Captain is determined not to catch it and runs away. Later on, Line catches pirate pox too. Captain Captain decides to hide in the cabin to stay away from them, but they keep following her around.
Captain Captain is surprised to find Cook and Line dressed up like her and shouting orders just like she does. Apparently she is always telling them to be more like her, but they have taken the order literally and decided to be exactly like her. This soon leads to chaos as the crew keep ordering each other around, interrupting one another, refusing to do their duties and stealing her limelight.
Captain Captain has ordered Cook and Line to clean out the new shark tank, but they are scared of the sharks and decide to relax with a nice coconut instead. Captain Captain doesn't understand what there is to be scared of and she tells them that coconuts are actually more dangerous than sharks. You're more likely to be harmed by a falling coconut than a shark. This revelation backfires as Cook and Line now become terrified of coconuts, dressing up in elaborate coconut safety gear and trying to invent a coconut early-warning system!
Captain Captain is excited to introduce her new pet, Sluggy, a sea slug she found in a nearby rockpool. She thinks Sluggy is cute and adorable, but it's plain to see that Sluggy does not appreciate being kept as a pet and is very snappy. Captain Captain commands Cook and Line to look after the feisty sea slug, but Cook and Line plea with Captain Captain to release Sluggy back into the sea.
Captain Captain is very grumpy having been kept awake by Cook and Line's loud snoring. She orders them to build her some comfy new captain's quarters in a quiet corner of the cove. Cook and Line don't really understand what she wants and decide instead to build her a den. But they like the den so much, they refuse to let Captain Captain in.
Captain Captain is not worried about losing any jewels today because she has discovered an ancient treasure map that promises to lead her to a bounty of new treasure. Unfortunately, it's been cut into pieces and she needs Cook and Line to help put it back together so she can find the loot.
Cook and Line are laughing so much that they can barely salute the Captain. Captain Captain wants to know what's so funny. They tell her that Line told Cook a joke so funny that he almost fell overboard. The Captain thinks this is no laughing matter - what would they have done if they had really fallen overboard? Cook and Line are stumped. Captain Captain demands that they take her handbook and practice what to do if a pirate falls overboard.
Captain Captain is in a whistling mood and keeps blowing her whistle at the Swashbucklers and the pirates. Gem warns her that if she blows her whistle too much, it can 'bring bad luck on the wind'. The Captain doesn't believe her and keeps blowing her whistle. But every time she blows it, she ends up getting splatted by sloppy seaweed. Perhaps her whistling is more unlucky than she thought.
Captain Captain is in a reading mood and has borrowed loads of books from the Floating Library. Cook and Line can hardly lift the pile of books, but Captain Captain orders them to read them all and find her the best story ever. But Cook and Line drop all the books in the ship's mess, getting them dirty. They take out all the pages to clean them, but then they can't remember which page goes in which book!
Captain Captain has lost her pirate handbook. Cook and Line find it and read it, and they learn an interesting pirate rule: all pirates get to vote for their captain. They decide they are going to have a vote to choose a new captain, but who will end up in charge?
Captain Captain is determined that today is the last day they will be shipwrecked on the island. She has commanded her pirates to repair the Scarlet Squid so it can set sail once more, but their repair work soon leads to even more mess.
Cook and Line are behaving completely out of character - speaking politely and moving gracefully. They are fed up of losing games all the time and have decided to be more like the Swashbucklers by being well behaved instead. After all, 'good things happen to good pirates'. Captain Captain isn't buying it, and she needs naughty pirates to win back the jewels. But Cook and Line are adamant, they have left their naughty days behind them
Gem, Cook and Line are once again shipwrecked but this time on a different island where a brand new pirate captain lives. She quickly announces herself as Captain HeyHo, the new Captain of the Scarlett Squid. Later on, Captain HeyHo shows Cook and Line her Captain’s Cove and introduces them to her best friend, Wally the Welly!
Captain HeyHo can smell a pong but she doesn’t know where it is coming from. Cook and Line discover that the smell is coming from her coat but Captain HeyHo insists that a pirate Captain can never take off their coat! Luckily Cook and Line have a plan - she can wear her smelly coat while having a shower. The captain seems pleased with this idea and orders them to build her one. Later on, Captain HeyHo enters her cove where Cook and Line miraculously have the shower ready. However, Captain HeyHo doesn’t realise that Cook and Line’s shower has been connected to the ship's mess. She turns it on, shuts her eyes and enjoys a lovely sloppy shower!
Captain HeyHo tells Cook and Line about the many different monsters she has seen living on the island. Later on in the cove she decides to show the naughty pirates what these monsters look like by singing a song and drawing them on her blackboard.
Captain HeyHo is not her usual self. She tells Cook and Line that she loves living on the island but really she misses watching her TV - so Cook and Line decide to build her one. Later, Captain HeyHo enters the cove to find Cook smiling. With Line’s help, they’ve found a way of making the TV work without wires! All Captain HeyHo needs to do is sit down, relax and press the remote's 'on' button. What could possibly go wrong?
Line has been stuck inside a barrel for quite a while and asks for help to get out. Unfortunately, this isn’t as easy as it seems. Later on in the Cove, they manage to get Line out of the barrel, but in doing so they get Cook stuck in it instead. They try again and this time it gets stuck on Captain HeyHo. In true slapstick fashion, there is one catastrophe after another.
Cook claims to be a descendant of royalty, but when he proclaims himself to be 'King of the Cove', his fellow pirates soon become less than willing subjects.
The Captain gives Cook and Line step counters in order to improve their fitness and give them stronger sea legs. Later they compete to see who can clock up the most steps by the end of the day. During the challenge, Cook and Line try to trick each other into taking a break in order to gain an advantage in the contest. After a race to the finish, Captain HeyHo arrives at the cove to announce the winner.
Cook and Line give Captain HeyHo a new plant, which they name Keith. The captain suggests that by playing calming music they could help their new plant grow. Later on in the cove, Keith seems to enjoy the calming music and slop a little too much, and before they know it he has taken over the cove!
Cook and Line are obsessed with a brilliant new card game and they want to play it every minute of the day. Captain HeyHo is not amused – or maybe she just feels left out. Later in the cove, she finally gives in and decides to join them for a game of 'Beard'. But as she soon finds out, losing the game results in forfeits.
Having heard about their latest shipwreck, Cook’s mum and Line’s dad come to the island to check if their boys are OK. Unfortunately, they are even more annoying than Cook and Line! Later on in the Cove, Captain HeyHo has seen enough. She decides to send the annoying parents packing.
Line seems very excited. Since he loves singing so much, he has decided that he will start his very own pirate choir. Cook is obviously eager to join him on this musical adventure, but Captain HeyHo doesn’t seem too sure. Line, however, won’t take no for answer and forces the captain to get involved. Later on, Captain HeyHo enters the cove to find Cook and Line with new choir members made out of recyclable objects. After a less-than-promising warm-up, a little coaching from Line leads to his choir singing a pirate anthem in perfect harmony.
Cook and Line are very tired as they are being kept awake at night by a noisy snorer. Captain HeyHo insists it isn’t her and comes up with various suggestions as to what the mysterious snoring noise could be. Cook and Line don’t seem convinced! Later on in the captain’s cove, Captain HeyHo takes pity on the sleepy pirates and decides to let them catch up on some much-needed rest. In order to help them snooze, she sings them a soothing pirate lullaby as they drift off. Then the mystery snorer is revealed.
Captain HeyHo instructs Cook and Line to see what is more useful – slime or slop. The boys are happy to get to work and set up some experiments to put both substances to the test. Unfortunately for Captain HeyHo, she gets caught up in the naughty pirates' experiments, and things turn messy.
Cook and Line appear on deck wearing some rather brightly coloured clothing. Captain HeyHo suggests they should camouflage themselves to help beat the Swashbucklers. Later on in the captain’s Cove, the naughty pirates put their new found camouflage skills to the test. Their disguise is so effective that Captain HeyHo struggles to see them, and things turn messy!
Captain HeyHo has got the blues, but Cook and Line are determined to cheer her up. In order to put a smile back on her face, they set up their very own comedy club in the captain’s Cove. Together, Cook and Line tell their funniest jokes, but can anything turn Captain HeyHo’s frown upside-down?
Cook and Line have found an old boombox that has washed up on the island. Captain HeyHo likes her peace and quiet, but unfortunately for her, the boombox is very loud and still working perfectly! Later on in the Cove, Captain HeyHo presents the boys with some headphones and suggests that they have a silent disco while she lets her ears rest. But the silence does not last for long.
Cook and Line find Captain HeyHo’s old guitar washed up on the beach. The captain insists that it cannot be hers, since it was washed overboard in a storm many moons ago. However, after seeing her name on the back of the guitar, she realises it is indeed hers and that it even has a name: Sheilagh! After some persuasion, the boys manage to convince the captain to play them a tune. A fabulous musical number unfolds in the captain’s Cove, complete with backing vocals from Cook and Line.
The salty sea air is irritating Cook and Line’s skin, but thankfully Captain HeyHo has a solution: fishy mud. Her remedy comes with an unfortunate downside, however - its awful smell! Later on in the captain’s Cove, the pirates cover themselves in a freshly made batch of the fishy potion. However, they soon realise that the recipe is not quite right, and things start to take a turn for the worse.
Two new pirates, Al-Hoy and Arrlice, are shipwrecked on the island and want to replace Cook and Line. Captain HeyHo suggests a pirate competition to help her decide who the better pirates are. Later on in the cove, the competition hots up as Al-Hoy and Arrrlice come face to face with Cook and Line. But who will be the better pirates? The final decision rests with Captain HeyHo.
Cook and Line try to persuade Captain HeyHo to let their friend Dobbin the Sea Horse join the crew, but the captain insists that horses do not make good pirates. Later on in the cove, Cook and Line do all they can to convince Captain HeyHo that Dobbin the Sea Horse is worthy of pirate status. But what will the captain decide - 'yay' or 'neigh'?
Cook boasts that he can cook absolutely anything, so Captain HeyHo orders him to make her favourite dish - Seafood a la Slurp. Once Captain HeyHo has gone, Cook admits to Line that he has absolutely no idea how to make her beloved Seafood a la Slurp, but in order to help him figure out the recipe he comes up with a plan. Later on, Captain HeyHo arrives at the cove just as Cook is about to start preparing her favourite dish. It soon becomes apparent that he doesn't really know what he's doing, but that doesn't stop Line and him from throwing the dish together in a musical fashion. But what will Captain HeyHo think?
Cook and Line want to apply for the TV show The Only Way is Pirate and get to work making an audition tape - but they don't want Captain HeyHo to find out. Later on in the cove, Captain HeyHo realises that Cook and Line are acting strangely, and it isn't long before she discovers what they are up to and tells them to stop filming. But she soon changes her tune when Cook and Line tell her about the prize for the best audition tape - treasure! Suddenly Captain HeyHo wants in on the action too. What could possibly go wrong?
Captain HeyHo's finger is twitching, and this can only mean one thing - a storm's a'coming. It's up to Cook and Line to do all they can to prepare for it. With the help of some slime, they begin sticking all their prized possessions down to avoid losing them to the storm. But when the dreaded weather front arrives, it's not exactly what they had in mind.
Captain HeyHo thinks she can't dance, but Cook and Line think they can help her find her groove. They teach her a clever dance routine called the 'Swashdance', which uses all the movements from the games they play with Gem and the Swashbucklers. After a less-than-promising start, Cook and Line give the captain some more advice, and to everyone's amazement it works!
Cook and Line trick Captain HeyHo into thinking they can see into the future with the help of some 'mystic' pebbles they've found on the beach. Later in the cove, Cook and Line continue their sneaky fortune-telling joke, but it is not long before Captain HeyHo realises they have been tricking her and comes up with a plan of her own. The tables are finally turned as she predicts their own sloppy future!
The cove is full of rubbish, so Cook and Line try to be helpful by tidying it all up. But Captain HeyHo doesn't like throwing anything away. She teaches the pirates about recycling - a brand new concept for Cook and Line. Excited by this new-found skill, Cook and Line come up with an arty way to recycle the rubbish. But will the captain approve?
Captain Hey Ho has gone on a voyage and taken Cook and Line with her! So Captain Captain has returned (much to the surprise of Gem), and she has hired two brand new pirates to help win the jewels back from Gem and the Swasbucklers. Captain Captain and her pirates discover the new Captains Cove and celebrate with a song.
The new pirates Sandy and Seaweed have caught the rhyming lurgy of the Ancient Mariner and can only speak in rhyme. It seems like its catching, because Captain Captain might have it too! Can they find a cure or will they be rhyming forever?
The pirates are visited by Captain Captain’s arch rival from Strictly Come Pirating, Captain Twinkletoes. Can the two Captains dance their differences away in a dance off at the Captains Cove?
Captain Captain doesn’t think her new crew, Sandy and Seaweed, are up to the job. Unless they can both convince her that they should stay, she is going to send them back to the Pirate Agency. Sandy and Seaweed decide to write a special song all about them in order to persuade Captain Captain that they should remain as her crew.
Sandy and Seaweed have invented a new game knocking down bottles with coconuts; they are calling it ‘bowling’. Captain Captain explains it is not a new game and that she was, and in fact still is, an expert bowler. Sandy and Seaweed decide to challenge Captain Captain to a competition in the Cove!
Captain Captain decides she needs a break from Sandy and Seaweed and books a holiday. However, it turns out the holiday is on the very island that the Scarlett Squid is shipwrecked on, and Sandy and Seaweed are her holiday hosts!
Captain Captain discovers that Sandy and Seaweed don’t know any of the correct names for the parts of the ship, so she decides to teach them through a song!
A mysterious Pirate Inspector is coming to visit Captain Captain and the pirates. If they fail the inspection, they will get a huge fine. Later in the Captain’s Cove, they start to suspect that the Pirate Inspector is in fact someone they know rather well!
Seaweed is excited because today is the big day, but he has forgotten what the big day actually is! Can Captain Captain and Sandy help him remember? Later in the Captain’s Cove, they try to remember exactly what this big day is all about.
When Captain Captain seems stressed on board the Scarlet Squid, Sandy and Seaweed try to help her and get her to relax using the ancient art of ‘yogaarrr’! Later in the Cove, the ‘yogaarrr’ moves seem to get very complicated, especially for Captain Captain!
Sandy and Seaweed are enjoying singing the Swashbuckle song, but Captain Captain isn’t very happy and suggests they write something themselves, with disastrous results! Captain Captain decides to take matters into her own hands and rewrites the Swashbuckle song, but what will Gem think about it when she visits the Cove?
Captain Captain, Sandy and Seaweed get a new ‘smart parrot’ to help make life easier around the Scarlet Squid. Unfortunately, it only ends up making life harder for the pirates! The smart parrot seems to get some of the instructions mixed up, including the word "stop"!
The pirates would love to have a midnight feast, but Captain Captain forbids it! It says in her pirate handbook that a pirate’s bedtime is eight o’clock, so a midnight feast is out of the question. However, Sandy and Seaweed take things into their own hands and create a midnight feast right under Captain Captain’s nose!
When Sandy teases Seaweed saying he is a dangerous dancer, Seaweed panics, thinking he must be growing extra limbs and turning into a squid! Later in the Cove, Seaweed appears as a squid, and it is up to Gem to convince him he doesn’t need his tentacles!
The pirates accidentally miss the postal delivery of Captain Captain’s favourite magazine Perfectly Pirate and try to trick her into thinking she has already received it! However, Captain Captain spots the postie from afar and can’t be fooled this time.
Lots of bananas have washed up on the island, which worries Captain Captain as legend has it that bananas on a ship are bad luck. She orders Sandy and Seaweed to get rid of all the bananas before things go badly wrong.
Captain Captain orders Sandy and Seaweed to clear out the clutter in the cove, so Sandy and Seaweed decide to hold a pirate jumble sale. Their clumsy plan is to sell all Captain Captain’s possessions right back to her, but will she realise?
It’s ‘Bring Your Pet to Work Day’, but Captain Captain doesn’t have a pet! Luckily, the bumbling pirate pair have a plan, and soon Captain Captain has a new pet T-Rex called Penelope! Sandy puts Penelope through some rigorous training in the Cove, which ends in a sloppy mess!
Sandy and Seaweed have started collecting ‘Famous Pirates and Crew of the World’ stickers. They discover there’s one last rare sticker to find. To complete their sticker books, they’ll need to compete with Captain Captain to find the golden sticker!
The pirates find a locker washed up on the shore belonging to the legendary pirate Davy Jones. But can they find a way to get to his legendary treasure inside? Later at the Cove, Captain Captain takes things into her own hands and manages to open the locker, but she finds a bit more than she was expecting!

She is disappointed to discover that Seaweed’s headscarf isn’t up to scratch and insists he cleans it. Sandy comes up with a very special washing potion which requires exact ingredients. She has even written small parts for Sandy and Seaweed. As the pirates prepare for their roles and get the stage set, Captain Captain arrives and it's showtime!
Fed up of being booed, Captain Captain challenges Gem to swap places so she can see just how hard it is to be captain. Gem agrees, so Captain Captain plays the games with the Swashbucklers, while Gem is in charge of Sandy and Seaweed.

Thankfully, the pirates come up with a plan to help, and Seaweed uses his hands in place of Captain Captain’s!

So Captain Captain tells the pirates to come up with a better photo for this year’s edition, but taking pictures for it isn’t an easy task. Luckily, photography is one of Sandy’s many talents, but can he snap the perfect pirate photo?
Seaweed starts to wonder about the Swashbuckle Seven Seas, but it’s revealed he can’t actually name them! So Captain Captain sets him a task to learn all about them, and he and Sandy come up with a very musical way to remember.

Captain Captain is wearing her Proper Pirate Proficiency badge, and Seaweed realises he doesn’t have one. It’s revealed that he has to pass the Proper Pirate Proficiency Test, or he’ll have to leave the pirate crew! Sandy steps up to help coach him.

Captain Captain’s uncle Joe King is coming to visit. Uncle Joe is the best joker in the family, and Captain Captain has got a big plan to play a joke on him. But things go a little wrong when Sandy and Seaweed try to help out!
Captain Captain discovers that someone (or something) has been eating her sandwiches and leaving a trail of yellow slime. Sandy suggests that the culprit could be a lonely slimy sea worm, and now they have to try and catch it!
Captain Captain is surprised at how little Seaweed knows about his awesome pirating family, so she instructs him and Sandy to make a family tree. Later in the Cove, we discover that Sandy and Seaweed have created an actual tree, and the three of them enjoy hanging the family pictures on the branches.
Seaweed is missing his family, so Sandy organises a ‘Boom’ video call with his and Captain Captain’s unusual relatives. Once in the Cove, Captain Collywobble, Granny Redpatch and Sea Lilly all join the call and they enjoy a great family catch up!
