So you're telling me that the smartest person in the world just banger The Deep??
Just need more Butcher and Homelander..These Starlight and Kimiko storyline is mehh. Also 'Sage' is such an annoying character.
Having finished these first 3 episodes, this season seems weaker than the rest. You still get that shocking slap from time to time with one scene or the other, a LOT of senseless gore scenes just for the heck of it, and multiple points that I didn't really find appealing:
These things (specially the last point) in together with the wavy quality since season 2, downed my series total from 8 to 7 (at least for now). Let's see how the rest of the season plays; maybe that point can be earn again...or it can go lower. Time will tell
Damn, this was a great fucking episode; dunno why everyone's bitching about it. Actually, I do, because when shows like this aren't 60 straight minutes of surface level humor and violence, they get all bitchy. And, naturally, since they can't binge the entire season in one go, they think there's no overall plot because their brains are so wired to instant gratification that anything that doesn't satisfy that, "sucks".
What's working: Homelander & Butcher with Ryan, Sister Sage, A-Train's redemption arc
What's not working: Kimiko's trauma healing, Frenchie and Colin, the Starlighters / Firecracker plotline
Also not sure how I feel about the new Black Noir. I don't think they should have replaced him
What have they done to these characters? Why do I hate every single one of them now?
It feels like the show is spinning its wheels. It feels like Deja Vu in some cases, like the same story-lines are repeating but a little worse. The political commentary and acting is still pretty good. Having the genius fuck the dumbest person there is a trope I didn't think I'd see. Nice touch I guess.

It's such a clever promo. :thumbsup_tone1:
Never thought of this show as boring, but it actually is so far this season.
The marketing of this show is soooo good. I just saw voughtonice.com being mentioned in the trakt description for this episode. So I went there, they've actually built a website lol.
This episode flowed like water. The lord of the seas deceived the intelligent girl by choosing her over the octopus. It's a strange series, but it's excellent. The woman died again in that last piece of ice hahaha she will go back to where she started, let's see what happens. I'm looking forward to the other episodes.
Butcher carrying this season bleh
Jesus Christ managed to harm and kill people almost as much as Homelander in this episode.
So are those ventilation ducts made of lead and that's why coultn't see Hughie inside of them with his X-Ray vision and aim straight?
That's some BS.
And was Sage supposed to have make a lobotomy on herself and get dumb? Cause she sounds the same as before, yapping about how everything and everyone is racist. I guess she actually wanted to watch the "racist robots" so I guess the lobotomy gave her "internalized racism".
F*ck they're all screwed up...
I love it...
MM doesn't make a good leadee 1. because he has an ego, even if he says he doesn't 2. no one respects him. This is going to go badly for him later on.
Those were not onion rings, that was fish food, like kalamari.
I bet it was the octopus
Felt like more of a classic episode. I don't really understand the whole Kimiko subplot or where that's going. But the core plot is alright.
The gore and the political commentary are getting too senseless and cheesy, while the story arcs for the main characters are treading familiar ground and cross over into cliché. I feel the writing losing its freshness, so I hope it picks up.
The main thing I remember about this episode is Ashley's flaming outfit, which was pretty fire.
The deep is going for tbe dip as well
Starlight was horrible!!! The show on ice was funny.
It was better than the first two episodes but the show really relies on Karl Urban and Antony Starr. Honestly, if they killed Hughie, Frenchie, Mother's Milk, I wouldn't mind.
A bunch of the storylines aren't clicking and while only brief, Jeffrey Dean Morgan's appearances haven't had the same effect as Jensen Ackles last season.
Butcher just can't seem to do anything right at the moment.
Homelander, is falling apart, or is he actually "sick"? Time will tell.
I'm losing interest. Seriously. Maybe they should've stopped afterwards season 2.

It's not awful, but the writing is noticeably worse this season than it was before.
