The Good Place - Season 2
The show continues to remain interesting, when it could very easily get stale.
Watching Michael and the group try and dupe everyone else and try to escape was entertaining.
They also managed to end it in another unexpected twist.

There are a few episodes in the middle that could have been avoided, but the overall pacing of the season has been surprisingly tight. More than one episode here felt like they could have worked as finales for entire seasons. The premise hinted by the previous season finale gets developed and fulfilled in a matter of episodes, taking the show in unexpected directions while keeping references to ethical problems at the core. If there’s only one complaint I might have, it's the love interests taking so much space in the plot despite the lack of actual chemistry in that sense.
A bit of a stretch for the topics through most of mid season, but the beginning had a strong start and the last 2 episodes made up for the previous 4 or 5. Interesting way to finish the season but I look forward to season 3.

It got pretty good near the end, but the first half-plus of the season didn't really do it for me.
The engine is now running at full force and show is almost constantly amazing: funny as hell, quite engaging, full of great ideas, never scared of reinventing itself and with a great bunch of actors. I also almost have to admit that Kristen Bell is an acquired taste by now.

The Good Place gets even better in Season 2. After having his fake heaven rouse uncovered by Eleanor and her friends Michael tries again, and again, and again until, faced with a revolt from his fellow demons, he decides to team-up with Eleanor and her friends to escape to the real Good Place. It’s a rather daring move to jump the story forward like this and to change the character dynamics, but it really pays off. It also helps in the character development and adds a sense of mystery as to what happened in the hundreds of past simulations. Additionally, the comedy is especially well-written, with a lot of clever, witty dialog. And, once again the series delivers a game-changing season finale. Instead of doing the same old and playing it safe, Season 2 of The Good Place does the unexpected.
