Crikes they couldn't make this episode more boring if they tried. I mean I don't understand the appeal of drag shows. I sorta get why people would DO them but to go watch them? Just seems almost as boring as watching baseball. But that's only part of the story. There's a bit of language that is a bit of 8 years old and I'm sure people who care about that would find that a needling point but as an episode it's so boring. Part of why I'm watching this with all the stupid illegal case destroying things Jane does from lying and threatening to harassing people without their lawyers. It's all generating a narrative that lawyers are bad and cops should do anything to get justice and if you name someone the killer that's how you get confessions. That and nebulous promises of "a word to the DA" or "it'll go better for you". It's all mind raging things but it's not boring. This is boring. with a moralistic message that doesn't make sense. So our gay or just drag dude wanted to kill himself >!and managed to escape!< but what did he do to leave clues that would implicate the three guys. He didn't do any of that intentionally. His locker would have been cleaned out and thrown away, his computer also thrown away and he was moving to a new place that would throw away his stuff. He wasn't doing any implication of anyone. There was no "cry for help" as it were. This isn't that episode of Elementary where Sherlock figures out that this women wasn't pushed but used a rock to kill herself only to later realize she planned it to look like murder to frame an evil man who killed her sister. That was interesting. This was boring. Shockingly so.
