Last episode was very boring but at least I didn't have a particular thing to bitch about, so it got a 5/10. Now this episode, the kid still is pretty annoying but other than that a surprisingly good episode. However, this episode has particular things I can bitch about: Continuity between scenes If it is an object that's suddenly in the wrong hand when cutting to the dialogue partner that'd be kinda normal (sadly), but completely changing clothes except for the jacket from one scene to another? That's what the gangbanger did when he decided to go with the woman from the restaurant to deliver food. Not just another hat or something, nope, completely changed his clothes. From black pullover, to white, from no gray jacket to additional gray jacket, from normal pants with belt to jogging pants. For most this probably isn't a big deal, others may have overlooked it but for me it's a massive immersion killer and distracting if it is this blatant.
The scene in the church was terrible The acting of that gollum of a mother, screaming in open range for her to be shot if plot and plot only wouldn't say otherwise. The complete and utter waste of Roger Cross. So much for not knowing how to get rid of a character or what to do with him.
Eph Sleeping with that woman while pretending to be someone else, so much for "people can't get past their own self-interest". Effing hypocrite. Thankfully she got killed already or we'd have gotten the "I fell in love with you [upon revealing his identity] but I don't know who you are anymore" kind of story arc like in pretty much every other show doing this. Also, Eph not getting shot to death, yet again, for plot reasons only. The hitman wasn't waiting to kill the woman but let's Eph take a look at her dying and even shoots him once and let's down his weapon, so Eph could magically draw a weapon and kill the hitman who was already aiming at Eph. The scene where Eph hold her in his arms was lame. Was it supposed to make me feel bad for Eph or her? After the writers so nicely established this little "affair"? It didn't. I didn' care for that woman, I don't care for that hypocritical alcoholic, I don't buy the "who are you" crap either. Eph warned her that there are people who don't want the "disease" to stop, she asked for them to come. She had it coming sooner or later.
What a shambles. One bad scene after another. One bad decision after another. Why would you run in a church at night instead of jumping to the driving seat and leaving?
