Merthyr-born Michela Chiappa explores the modern Welsh Italian community, visiting the cafes and fish and chip shops that still serve up a feast. She discovers that whilst some traditions are the same, others have really changed. Michela finds that it's food and family that unites the two cultures - but when it comes to sport, do they support Wales or Italy?
Michela Chiappa visits Bardi where her own family and many of the other Welsh Italians came from. The town is buzzing with Welsh people who have travelled to Italy for festa week, culminating in a street party thrown to celebrate the immigrants who return to Bardi each year.
