In 2012, after two years of negotiations, Michaël Sztanke and Julien Alric had obtained a visa to penetrate North Korea. From this first trip, they came back with official pictures. They were never able to observe what was hidden behind the Pyongyang showcase. In 2014, they obtained a new visa to complete their film.
