Cenk and Hannah hosting. Announcement that we will be covering Town Hall election coverage at 8pm. BNP tournament CEO spoke about how female tennis players should 'get down on my knees' to thank those that give them opportunity. Video of Ceo speaking. Serena Williams responded to video that 'No one should be down on their knees to thank others.' Billie Jean King, co-founder of Women’s Tennis Association, also spoke out against quote. BNP CEO responded with another speech, explaining how women should be getting lesser pay and that male Tennis players are better players. He follows up by referring directing to female tennis players attractiveness, and physical appearance, rather than sportsmanship. The rationale behind his argument, is that viewers of male sport is higher. A fact that is informed by male sports having more history, more endorsements, more marketing, etc. but not reading true in more current times, which reveal a closing gap in viewers of men’s and women’s Tennis. Cenk and Hannah debate this topic. Hannah presents a story about a hate crime, that will not be prosecuted. The case involves two gay men being assaulted by a man, who poured burning hot water on them, to 'separate' them. Cenk and Hannah discuss the importance and effectiveness of hate crime legislation. Austin, Texas police pepper-spray man who was already handcuffed. The man was kicking the door of the police van. An investigation has been launched into the policeman’s behavior. Cenk and Hannah both agree that the man displayed annoying behavior, but that doesn’t mean it’s ok to pepper-spray someone who’s already handcuffed. Recent UK poll people prefer a great internet connection over hot water, sunlight and other basic needs.
