“And then this big, old guy with this big, old heart, came walking into my support group. And then, when I would break, he never gave up on me, over and over again, never gave up on me and made me believe in me. “Do you know that you... do you know that you changed my life, that you saved my life?.”

‪Wow, my heart broke a million times during this. I feel like I’ve known Jack my whole life and I’ve just lost him. The pain is too real. ‬Everyone deals with grief differently and I love how they wrote and showed that. Outstanding performances from everyone, especially Mandy.

Oh the writers did it again, lots of tissues needed in this one. I'm happy the way Jack died, I was afraid that he'd burn to death, not that his death wasn't hard but I would've hated it so much more. The whole episode was so good and even the little hints to the real Super Bowl were great. Also loved that they played us again, showing us the grown woman and the little boy and making us believe he's the next foster kid for Randall. I do hope we get so see some more flashbacks with Jack. This is still one of the best shows on TV right now, it makes you cry, laugh and shout at the TV all in those 45 minutes.

What a masterpiece this episode and this whole series is. Such a touching show that just keeps on breaking and putting my heart back together. And this episode just did that. Everyone was flawless, Mandy Moore’s performance was next level, I’m really glad jack didn’t die a horrible death in the fire, also loved that they played us thinking that little boy is going to be Randall’s next foster kid, but someone from a flash forward to Tess working for kids looking for foster families in the future

May I point out Kevin’s painting in Tess’ room? It was a really nice touch!

Oh man... While I already expected most of it, it didn't help soften the blow at all. I couldn't even help myself being angry at Kate, though not as much as she's been angry at herself for all these years. And I finally could relate to Kevin completely - the "last thing I said" regret is one of the worst because you just have to live with it, and it must suck that much harder for it being about his father.

Oh, and Kate's struggle with the VHS tape. Grr... Why hadn't she digitized it yet? Saint Toby to the rescue...

they need to stop doing this to us

I think I've never cried more watching an episode or even a movie. This episode was perfect and every performance were absolutely amazing. I fell like Jack was part of my family and I know him since ever. He'll be an example for me to be a better dad day by day!

Well... This is it for This Is Us. Mandy Moore truly deserves an Emmy for her amazing talent, while the rest of the main cast can be forgotten. The Big Three in the present are perfect example of how NOT to develop a character. While the scenes in the past have always been amazing, the ones in the present became way too stereotyped and predictable, from the "surprise" flashforward to the way the triplets handle that day (especially Kevin, whose lines could be guessed in advance).

I wish Mandy Moore all the best and hope she'll get the role of her life soon enough. But she alone can't save that show which became more and more dreadful as time goes by. It's not a drama anymore, but a satyre of how people behave these days. Having the same age of the triplets in the present, I do not see myself in any of their behavior.

Hope we'll get real quality drama one day. Until then, goodbye Jack and Rebecca. It was a pleasure knowing you.

This was a perfect episode. I was so sure he was going to die in the fire. And when he didn’t I was so relieved even though I know perfectly well Jack is dead. So when he died from a Widow Maker it was even more devastating. This show is always emotional. But they took it up several notches for this episode. And airing it on Super Bowl Sunday was brilliant even though I don’t watch football.
