well that took a turn!!!
I'm low key skeptical about Rachel's mom. It feels too good to be true.
Anyway, this was a solid episode nothing special, except for the awesome plot twist at the end.
This was a plot building episode. Nothing special, no big action just some get to know you time. Until the end.
I've been waiting on that Starfire thing to happen.
This episode was much better, I enjoyed it a bunch. I liked that they finally started using the name "Starfire". The episode was lacking much in terms of action, but it was actually better because it. I liked the Dick and Donna scenes the best out of the episode. I am hoping the writers and producers keep up with putting out good episodes like this instead of bad ones like last week's.
“Wonder Woman was born to protect the innocent. Batman was created to punish the guilty.” -Donna Troy
After last week's slip-up, I'm glad to see Titans back at being the best superhero show around right now. And they didn't even have to do fancy fighting scenes for this episode to flow much better than the last (though I am obviously hoping for the fancy fighting scenes to be back soon).
The more I watch this show, the more it seems that we're still somewhat far from seeing a full-fledged proper Titans team. I guess the first season will be like this, they hang out together but aren't a group of heroes, yet. As long as this means more seasons, I'm cool with it.
It was particularly amusing seeing big DC names being thrown around like it was nothing in this episode (Batman, Wonder Woman, Joker, Penguin), whereas, on the other side of the superhero spectrum, The Gifted spent the whole of last episode awkwardly avoiding the word "Magneto".
Anyway, HOW WILL WE BE ABLE TO WAIT A WHOLE WEEK FOR THE NEXT EPISODE AFTER THAT INTENSE ENDING?! D:
Rachel's mom is a mistery to me, sounds to good to be true.
Cory is still smoking hot..... Literally
Ummmm... so they get this woman out of captivity who presumably can give them extremely important and potentially life-saving info about who her daughter's father is and why he is so dangerous, but instead of asking her about it the merry men go to play house while the second-greatest detective just rides off into the sunset despite the fact that even if that Asylum was that group's main base and even if destroying it meant they would no longer come after Rachel (none of which is confirmed, by they way), the actual threat to her was always her father and they know nothing about him?
Even with Titans spliting up, I really enjoyed this episode. The first scene in this episode was agreat homage to Wonder Woman an Batman's lores and I really loved that. It really set up the brother ans sister relationship that Dick and Donna shared up. I really liked how Dick and Donna Troy interacted between each other. This was some great characters study done. I really enjoyed how Dick sought Donna to make his next step without be Robin. Nightwing is coming. And I really enjoyed Kory's mystery that unveiled in this episode. Something was wrong with Korry at very beginning in this episode but I didn't know what was. The plot twist at end was incredible and Ididn't see that coming. So Kory' s mission was "take care of Rachel permanently". I loved that they used Rachel' s real name Raven in this episode. The nice tiny bit in this episode that I also liked was how Beaty Boy felt guilty after killing for the first time. This was great storytelling. Overall, this was suberp episode with one the best characters development in whole show, making this the best episode in this TV series. I was really annoyed because of the last two episodes, but this episode brought back my excitement about the Titans series. I can't wait to watch the next episode!!!!!
Great ep. Really like how they're introducing this world. Having Donna is a great aspect too. As a big fan of the 1999 Titans and the 2003 Teen Titans/Outsiders continuation I'm really enjoying this whole thing. Really interested in their Starfire too!! (though was the translation of Night/Star a clue there that she may be Blackfire?) either way love this style, love the approach.
I wonder how many more times Dick will leave the team in this season. There's no way this is the last time. Kory's mission seems a bit cliché although I have an idea on why that's her particular mission despite not reading the comics. I just hope she doesn't stay an enemy for the rest of the season.
"I wonder what the Penguin's doing right now."
Well, ehm..... Oké, didn't see that comin.

Now, why would Donna go browsing Dick's pics?
