This episode was intense! There's 2 more episodes left? Because this felt like a finale. This season overall has been fantastic. Much better than last season.
Better again, although I have to wonder if 1. the collapse of the mountain could contain the radiation, and 2. why they didn't have that passenger vehicle of the convoy pick up the driver and the commander right there in the tunnel... would have bought quite some time and spared us the Jack Ryan is such a hero storyline.
At least we're rid off Petr.
Again, this episode was a bit better than the last ones, but still the story is quite thin for 8 episodes. The whole Czech-Nato, Kovac family drama and the endless flashbacks to that liquidation order back in the 80s and its ramifications today seem like filler material - who cares?
Jack races to the Czech Republic to stop the detonation of the nuclear device Sokol. Petr and Luka’s secrets are revealed in a deadly reckoning, and their pasts are unsealed. Jack must act fast; time is of the essence. He races against the clock, determined to succeed in saving the day. His actions are crucial indeed. Jack struggles with all his might to stop the detonation and save the day from the dangers that threaten to fray the peace.
It’s a shame that John Krasinski has to deal with criticism for this role because he genuinely brings his A-game, and I find it very believable. However, some cannot look beyond his past and therefore find him unconvincing.
03x06 - Ghost: 7.5/10 (Good)
The action packed episode and we still don’t know who we’re fighting. Typical Tom Clancy approach. Love this season

Towards the end it got exciting and a bit too shitty at the same time.

It was nice to watch but it basically made no sense.
Why would that other guy wait until the middle of the tunnel to turn on his light, why would it take him so long, etc.
And why the fuck would they let them try to run out of the tunnel instead of one car waiting for them?!? That was just dumb / lazy writing to let Ryan play the hero to save the day.
That explosion felt completely wrong as well. I have now idea how it would look but I'm quite sure that it wouldn't look like this. The shockwave would likely rapidly expand through the tunnel but there would probably be some noticeable delay (as it might be limited ot the speed of sound). The tunnel definitely shouldn't collapse in front of the shockwave and the burst outwards would likely be much more powerful (killing everything in front of both tunnel ends).

Alena was quite pissed.
I already feared that she would burn that letter when they showed the reflection of the flames on the paper. I didn't want her to burn it (one could still burn it after reading it) but it might've been for the best. Not sure if killing him was smart though. He might've still had some important information but it might not matter that much.
And they saved the best scene for the end: Watching Elizabeth Wright replace Miller as the head of the CIA was superb! <3
Suddenly this show went from alright to amazing. The word "gripping" is not an exaggeration, especially the interception inside the tunnel.
