It's the year 2020, where the most popular virtual reality gaming experience, "TOME" is played by millions around the globe. A young player who goes by the username "Alpha" logs in for a good time, but gets more than he bargained for. While his friends are busy trying to stop a couple of rambunctious hackers disrupting their playtime, Alpha is visited by a strange, ethereal being that speaks directly to his thoughts...though it may appear dangerous, it might just be the key to stopping the hacker threat and allow Alpha to help his friends in need.
While Kirbopher's looking for trouble one late night on TOME, he spots the mysterious Gamecrazed mixed in the crowd of one of his matches. After following him into the woods of ;Lavendera, Nylocke appears to join Kirb in a quest to uncover more about their enigmatic friend, but before long, they stumble upon a strange mansion seemingly blocked from entry to normal players. Kirb and Nylocke follow Gamecrazed inside, but they end up getting more than what they bargained for, as they're not be the only unwelcome visitors to the mansion.
Flamegirl travels to the bustling ;Mechcity region of TOME for a meet-up with her two friends, Saturndiva and Whyti. The hottest subject seems to be Alpha and his growing reputation after the defeat of the two hackers at ;Lavendera. Alpha and Nylocke head to the city to meet Flamegirl...but just as they get there, two new hackers appear with a much more specific mission than their predecessors. Alpha's popularity has garnered the attention of some strange threatening foes. Will Flamegirl be the one to expose the truth and protect our heroes?
Gamecrazed, alone in the woods, is invited by Alpha and the others to join in a quest, so they can relax and enjoy TOME like regular players for the first time in a while... but their day of enjoyment is in danger of being blown apart by an old enemy, lookin' to stir up trouble. Our heroes split up into groups, seeking three pieces of a cursed statue that holds a monster inside it for them to fight against. The REAL monster might just turn out to be something else entirely! Can they triumph over EVIL!?
On the way to meet up with his friends, Alpha is halted by a couple of swordsmen trying to build up their popularity by ganging up on powerful players. After dealing with them, Alpha discovers the meaning behind their attack...the Gemini Tournament! Our heroes train in preparation for this grand competition of TOME's best players...until an unfortunate argument breaks out between the group. Suddenly, their sparring is interrupted by a strange foe with a powerful voice. The stress begins to mount, but how will this impact Alpha?

Alpha has logged into TOME for the first time since the last appearance of the Forbidden Power. Flamegirl goes to check on him but is halted when her own issues from the real world converge into the game -- in the form of an obsessive romantic pursuer. The stalker turns out to be another hacker on their own mysterious mission, and in the ensuing chaos the worst of the Forbidden Power is revealed. Can Flamey overcome this aggravating amour AND put a stop to Alpha's reckless rampage? Plus, how does Kirb fit into this mess!?
At long last, the much-anticipated Gemini Tournament begins! TOME's greatest competitive players gather together at Balanstadium, where the final competition is about to begin. Alpha and our heroes have managed to make it to the finals...but only two valiant players can stand above the rest and earn the shared title of virtual world champion duo! Many familiar faces have turned up, both friend and foe...as well as a few challengers, who may be up to something sinister. Who will walk away from this battle with the right to call themselves the best?
The Gemini Tournament continues as the best players in TOME ascend through the ranks and the competition becomes more and more intense. Only the two teams that make it to the finals will have the chance to prove themselves...but Alpha and Flamegirl may not GET that chance if they don't make it back to their upcoming match in time! The hackers who infiltrated the tournament roster are plotting something dangerous and winning the championship may be the least of our heroes worries. Whoever DOES make it to the final match may be in for a more bizarre experience than they bargained for.
With the Gemini Tournament behind them, our heroes seemingly return to their peaceful days spending time with each other in TOME. However, Alpha is still haunted by the presence of the Forbidden Power...with its rumors now spread amongst other players poised to harass him about its secrets. A certain someone, who knows the true dangers of the Forbidden Power, aims to put an end to its threat against the unsuspecting populous. An incredible fight lies ahead for Alpha, but one of the battle's two opponents may not walk away alive.

After winning a contest in celebration of TOME’s 1-Year Anniversary, Gamecrazed has brought our heroes along for more than just a simple sidequest! The heroes who defended the Terrain of Magical Expertise against an unseen threat now have the honor of doing battle with the creators of the game: five gifted programmers who call themselves the “Netkings”. Alpha triumphs over the first of their numerous opponents, but as the fight continues on through the Netkings’ realm in the virtual sun, mysteries of our heroes’ previous trials and tribulations may just unravel. The truth hurts, more than ever.
After a triumphant victory over the "Challenge of the Netkings", our heroes were shocked to learn that the dangerous "Forbidden Power" that has so heavily affected their lives since joining TOME...might in fact be a threat directly tied to the creators of the game! Alpha and the others, left with a thousand more important questions, are expelled from the Heavens of Magical Expertise and are greeted, the next day, to a collection of dark clouds made to hide out the newly-uncovered virus from the public eye...but they know the truth. Suddenly, some major new information is presented to the group that could change everything. Can our heroes band together and put a damper on their enemy's plans!?
With new information in hand, our heroes team up with their former enemy, Neomutant, to infiltrate the headquarters of D-Buggers.org in TOME's moon. With the Forbidden Power still a very real threat, Alpha and the others are seeking to finally put an end to the hackers' supposed plan to seize this dangerous virus...but what is it Zetto and Kizuna are TRULY planning? With security in place to combat the infiltration team and the Netkings doing what they can to prevent a second incident, it's becoming a race against time for every player still logged in! Those with their deepest ties to the world of TOME are about to come face to face with something horrifying.
TOME, the virtual game world that so many have grown to cherish...has become the stage for a race against time to save a human life. With our heroes dropping one by one off the map, only one is left standing, broken and lost...Alpha, is the last hope to fix everything. Zetto and Kizuna's plans have fallen apart, due to some unforeseen circumstances with the dangerous virus and antivirus programs, now in the form of two monsters seeking to erase each other.
