Julie Fowlis presents highlights from two decades of the legendary music show Transatlantic Sessions. In addition to two songs from Julie herself, the first episode includes musical stars from the UK, Ireland and the US, including Dónal Lunny, Bruce Molsky, Tim O’Brien and Iris DeMent.
Fans of Transatlantic Sessions can see Karen Matheson and Michelle Wright singing "Guitar Talk,” and Sharon Shannon leads a rousing performance of “The Neck Belly Reels”. Closing the programme are Kathleen MacInnes and Sarah Jarosz with a unique rendition of “Òran na Cloiche”.
