The moral of the story, don't watch any US tv shows until they end not cancelled. Otherwise your going to be left hanging due to the whims and variences of the production accountants as happened here.
Minus one storyline (the married couple), I found this show to be rather solid. It does take a few episodes to get into it and make sense of all the characters, the different timelines, but once you do, it's very pleasing. It's a shame this was cancelled because it could have a good three seasons run. I loved hearing all the languages and watching the different storylines merge together.
First things first: this is a cancelled show that ends on a cliffhanger. So there is little sense in watching it when it comes to closure. There is none. And I can understand why.
It is not totally awful, the action scenes, in particular the fights, are done well. But I can't shake the feeling that they are there just for the sake of it and the plot is often just a bridge towards the next fight.
The story is not very original, it takes the usual building blocks and arrange them, well, not even new. And it is too transparent. The surprises and twists are cabled in advance.
Too many storylines. It started well but we follow all those characters around and you wonder if there is a connection outside of the programm. I'll admit this could have been adressed in later seasons.
As I said there is really no need to watch this. You can't even take that ending and let your mind fill out the rest. They clearly did not expect to be cancelled. I only watched it because I wanted to know if it would have been worth watching had it continued. And from my point of view that would be a "No".
On a side note: I did not watch any of the Bourne movies and I don't think you need to to follow this. It works fine on it's own.
Ton of action scenes but the direction sucks so bad. 20 cuts for one punch. The whole premise is weak.
Why is the point of having forgetful assassins as assets. There is no advantage to that. You can recruit anybody to follow orders. History taught us that.
Let's hope then on a rescue mission by one of the streaming services.
Seems like USA network already have up against them, when Temptation Island is more promising for them (Variety).
Treadstone is all action and no brains type of a show. So don’t expect things to make much sense. It seems like a good show to just escape from believable world & get entrained one fantasy world. If you are the type of person who enjoys that, you’ll like this show. Otherwise I would recommend skipping it. Sometimes I like mindless shows, so will keep watching it. I hope it doesn’t take a nose dive in later episodes.
i was totally excited to watch this series..because recently i have finished watching all the bourne movies...when i found out treadstone series exists i waited no longer...and gave it a shot...first episodes were awesome...totally enjoyed those....but then it went into a mayhem...felt like it's going all over the place...it would have been more satisfying to watch if they had positioned the stories more carefully...the origin story line was the great thing about this...really enjoyed that story line...always felt an excitement to see how it unfolds.....
That was fun to watch. I have always been a big fan of The Bourne Trilogy movies and the Bourne series of books by Robert Ludlum. The characters of this show are well made and interesting, and because they are located in many different countries, it feels a lot like Sense8 but without the supernatural stuff.
I wonder how it'll tie in with the Bourne franchise, and if we'll see him show up in a potential second season. It's easily understandable why some would not like this show, but the reasoning would probably need to be pointed out to me. I'm not prone to notice every little detail that would derail the genuine enjoyment of anything I watch, so it's a given that there's probably a whole lot of issues which flew straight by me, unnoticed, that pop(ped) out at some people, making them dislike it. That being said, I enjoyed it. Maybe that's partly because there's just something about the concept (programming people into assets, sleeper agents, with the assistance of behavioral modification, that get prompted to complete a mission by visual and sensory cues without ever having known it and what they end up doing once the automated process of it all is over with) that is so deeply intriguing to me, who knows. I hope it gets renewed for a second season. What an enjoyable, thrilling watch it has been.

I was hooked from the first episode. Big Jason Bourne fan.
I think even if you weren't you can still catch on.
