I've been less interested in this series after the changes in this second season, and I've just heard they are taking a break to turn it into a multi camera sitcom. I think that means I'll be dropping it, as that presumably means a laughter track and less esoteric humour. Shame.
Season 2's rebuild has been great. I am enjoying this show even more now.
The show has sweetness by the tubload, and warms the cockles o' me heart.
It's gotten so much better! People who stuck with the show got a very nice present!
It's a little more restrained than Arnett's other work, but it's much more engaging than Running Wilde. I hope Jason Lee signs on on a near permanent role, he really adds something to the personality of the show.
this show is a catastrophe; it can't decide what it wants to be. if you want to watch ridiculous people make a tv show, go back to 30 Rock, obviously. heartwarming story about a baby (with a focus on the father)? stick to Raising Hope.
Arnett and Applegate are epic (though their characters bounce back and forth between obnoxious and funny way too much) so i'll only watch it for them.
Ok, few episodes in and this is one show I actually look forward to every week.... I'm even starting to like Applegate in her role.
Christina Applegate just can't act... period. She's horrible. Replace her with someone talented and this show would be a hit. With her in it, it's going to be a 1 season flop. Will Arnett is awesome and I'll watch it just to see his humor shine.

Just read that the showrunner has quit, presumably sick of dealing with the NBC asshattery. Why can't NBC understand that showrunners are important?
