Goodbye Ragnar :( RIP. I'll miss his character. this will be a different Vikings from now on.
Soo sad to see Travis Fimmel go....what an amazing actor, he definitly deserves an Emmy for his work in this series!! Hopefull for what will be next, but surely Travis Will be missed!! For Valhalla!!
The best episode, the best ending, respecting the story ... You deserve it Ragnar, forever in our hearts. Masterpiece of episode.
I can't... I just can't imagine Vikings without Ragnar, but I need to see the revenge and it better be an incredible massacre for it to be worth Ragnar's death.
That aside, it was an amazing episode, Travis's portrayal as Ragnar was always superb and he shall be missed. I just hope Ivar (Alex Høgh) shows us something worthy of Ragnar's legacy.
I can't imagine "Vikings" without Ragnar Lothbrok :'(
I hope Ivar brings hell on earth
Somebody please just tell me why?! </3
That was a beautiful death. The show had started to focus more on the other characters, we'll see if it can survive Ragnar's death. Ragnar's character has gone through so many different phases through these seasons, always beautifully played. Not sure if the others will be able to show such depth. Maybe Floki or Ecbert ?
Whaaat? Ragnar really died? How many more important characters have to die?
it's very sad to see really. Goodbye Ragnar... you better not kill lagertha ok!
Travis Fimmel is amazing, what a performance!
I'm so sad!
Fantastic episode, unfortunately marred slightly by the first poster on here revealing the death of Ragnar and not bothering to use the Spoiler Alert blur grrrr twat!
Anyway moving on, like everyone else has posted, I'm too am going to miss Ragnar, what a fantastic character he's been and brilliantly played by Travis Fimmel. I think the timing is good tho, there's not a lot more that Ragnar could do in the story and it's now to become his son's stories. Especially, I'm thinking, Ivar going by what has been written in history. And although the Vikings are in the wrong for the whole England invasion thing, I'm really looking forward to them getting revenge for Ragnar...lol I know that's a lil dark hahaha.
And of course we gonna have some interesting things to look forward to back at Kattegat oooh can't wait for this to all unfold.
As soon as I saw the snakes...I knew... :-(
If you read up on Ragnar's history prior to this episode, you know he dies in a pit of snakes. So sad...Travis Fimmel is such an amazing actor. I can't imagine Vikings show without him. But maybe it's the son's turn to shine...as history states, they avenge his death, so it will be interesting to see how all that goes down...
Couldn't they have waited? - 2016 is not the year for us to lose Ragnar too.
That was a brilliant episode, indeed. Travis Fimmel deserves an Emmy for sure!
What to say that hasn't already been said. Great episode with a lot of emotions involved. Even though a lot of us already knew how Ragnar died, it was still sad to watch him go. I had such goose bumps on that scene when Egbert arrived to see Ragnar one last time, and that music oh god...
Travis did an amazing performance. Yes, he will be missed a lot in the show, but I still look forward to next episodes and they won't be any less good now that Ragnar is gone, I'm sure. Story continues to follow mostly Ivar and Björn from now on, and I, for one, welcome it.
Maaaan, I didn't wanna see Ragnar die T_T
I'm in absolute denial right now ;a; It would be weird if he faked his death on purpose because he already did it in season 3, but I still hope for some miracle. I knew the writers would kill him off at some point, but it's not even the finale and I know I'll miss him so much D:
Regnar's death in such a horrible way is really sad. But Regnar's choice to travel to England and die there was not acceptable. Insisting to die was a strange thing that Ragnar did, who was the king and the people of other countries were afraid of him.
That talk between Ragnar and Ivar just broke my heart. :( But anyway, it was time for Ragnar to finally meet his end.
People should stop making snakes hiss on TV. can’t pronounce enough how stupid that is. We can all see they’re snakes. Why not keep it a little more realistic.
Also “love” how we always need to put harmless pythons in a snake pit. What are they going to do? Google-eye you to death?
A boar pit would have been more appropriate and cruel.
It had to happen someday and we all know it would be sooner then later. The focus started shifting from him long ago. Althought I always hoped Rollo would die before Ragnar.
I was expecting this episode to be more beautiful (in the literal way, a more stunning photograpy), but in general it was a very emotional and well-done death. Now, in consolation to the viewers I'm hoping that they make an epic revenge or something stunning to forget the absence of Travis Fimmel
Excellent episode, although i am sadden with the loss of Ragnar.
