Anthony tries to make sense of what happened to him but it's a bitter pill to swallow. Maryke worries that he might have smelled a rat and is extra gentle and loving. Sonja tries to bring Vicky and Stef together while Cardo decides to leave the Backpackers. Gunther is vague about the mineral rights and then Saskia finds out that he acted without her knowledge...
Gunther makes a business decision but Saskia's sobering thoughts lead him to an unpleasant surprise. Eben waits for Cardo and Carina warns him in a sisterly manner. Maryke's betrayal pushes Anthony further into a corner and his future looks even more obscure suddenly when he gets an unexpected phone call.
Everyone is shocked by a newspaper report that's clearly been planted by a vengeful Maryke. Marius warns Gunther to leave Carina alone. The men are in an uproar when Nico is seen in the mall. Stef suspects Maryke is far from done with Anthony and Saskia and Gunther's partnership is on shaky legs.
Eben makes Cardo an offer he cannot refuse. Gunther gets put in place twice in one day and Fritz tries to give Stef and Vicky's love life a boost.
Stef and Vicky are about to resume their relationship. Cardo's hero status buys him a stay at Villa Rosa. Maryke has knowledge of Stef's real brother but Stef is not interested. Two beloved characters say goodbye to Bloemfontein. It seems that Eben's involvement with Cardo will not work out for him. The Von West singing duo books in at the Villa.
Eben does not feel well after the party he was at with Cardo and wonders if their drinks were laced. Vicky wants to ask Stef to get engaged but he has other plans. Meanwhile Sonja makes final arrangements to surprise the couple at Bakgat. An old friend of the Villa arrives - but isn't alone as always. This time he brings along a special friend...
Love runs high for Stef and Vicky but it is hampered when Captain le Roux calls him and Maryke confronts him with a strange piece of evidence. Gunther and Saskia's plans are on track until Gunther receives an SMS which drives him over the edge. Uncle Gerhard and Kotie make themselves at home in the Villa.
Eben is concerned about Cardo and then a bruised Cardo arrives at the Villa. Gunther warns Saskia about her close relationship with Fritz and he does not like her reaction. Gerhard is nervous about his visit to the doctor and is disappointed when Kotie tells everyone that they are just friends. Stef does not trust the peace between Saskia and Gunther.
Saskia struggles to tame Gunther and has to do drastic damage control when he loses his head. Stef and Vicky invite Gerhard and Kotie over for dinner but Kotie doesn't enjoy the evening at all. Eben does secret research on drugs and becomes increasingly suspicious of Cardo. In the meantime, everyone forgets about Gekkedag...
