Here we have some more of Charlemagne's exploits, brought to us by Einhard. Einhard (c. 775 – March 14, 840 AD) was a Frankish scholar and courtier. A dedicated servant of Charlemagne and his son Louis the Pious; his main literary work, written between around 817 and 833, is a biography of Charlemagne, the Life of Charles the Great (Vita Karoli Magni), one of the most important works of the Early Middle Ages. We do this word for word, with an accompanying soundtrack of rousing music and images. — Thanks for watching!
