Back in 2015 the Huddart family were living in London. After a career in IT, dad Nik had spent the last two years as a stay at home dad to their three young children, which gave him plenty of time to enjoy his beloved London, spend time with the children and polish his domestic skills. Mum Sofia had concentrated on her medical career, but her shifts as an anaesthetist were demanding and hours were long. Their family life was under strain. Sofia thought New Zealand would give them a better quality of life, but Nik was much more cautious. If a move didn’t work out, moving back to London would be impossible as house prices would rocket and would make it impossible for the family to get back on the property ladder. But by 2017 the family had moved to New Zealand's Rothesay Bay area and they had all totally embraced New Zealand life.
