The 3rd instalment in the 'Watch with Mother' series was about the adventures of Rag the hedgehog, Tag the mouse and Bobtail the rabbit. In 1987, a Watch With Mother video was released by the BBC. The episode of Rag, Tag and Bobtail featured a scene in which Bobtail discovered that the baby rabbits had been playing in a muddy pool and had turned black. He was unable to clean them, but in the end the mud was washed off.
The 4th instalment in the 'Watch With Mother series' The Woodentops, the story revolved around a family of wooden dolls who lived on a farm.

Picture Book was the 5th instalment in the 'Watch With Mother' series, It's main objective was to encourage young children to make things. Bottle Island The 1987 VHS release by BBC Video featured an episode including Sausage the puppet dog, the Adventures of the Jolly Jack Tars (a group of sailors), making paper lanterns, growing mustard and cress, and a regular cartoon of a little girl called Bizzy Lizzy, who had a magic flower. The 'Bizzy Lizzy' inserts for Picture Book were narrated by Maria Bird, who also narrated Andy Pandy
A further episode was included on a Watch with Mother 2 video released in 1989. The main feature involved the creation of hills and a valley using a sand tray, an item featured regularly in the programme. Both episodes were taken from the 1963 series, presented by Vera McKechnie.
