Blackjack Mulligan (w/ Freddie Blassie) vs. Jeff Craney & Victor Mercado in a handicap match at 3:25 when Mercado submitted to the claw; after the bout, Mulligan applied the hold to Craney and dropped him down onto Mercado; Pat Patterson then interviewed Mulligan & Blassie at ringside, where Patterson challenged Mulligan to crush apples that he had brought along with one hand, after Patterson said he had tried at home and couldn’t do it; Mulligan then easily crushed 3 apples but went away when Patterson asked to inspect his claw hand
