what a movie. i mean just incredible.
Overrated. Like who chose the songs? Some of the new albums' best songs are not in it. Like what about Exile. Personally, i would be praising this if it had exile.
Jake Johnson is such a scene stealer, even his voice.
I don't get it, i think a bit before my time. The plot was too predictable with some (seemingly unnecessary, inconsequential and boring) additions to the straightforward plot line of finding money in a grave. The ending was obvious after he hanged Tuco on the rope. Thoroughly bored. Maybe I'm watching something else but i just don't understand the 8.8 rating and rave reviews by critics and audiences alike.
Dark humour at it's best.
I loved watching the movie but i wouldn't say the plot was very good. It's very weird a bunch of basic half stories stitched together with no real connection but somehow it holds and doesn't make for a boring but rather interesting watch?
This is my least favourite Mads Mikkelsen film and it wasn't his fault, he was great.
Emotions fly high in the movie from the start and never stop. It's an absolute brilliance the movie has that holds the viewer and his emotions together, not for a second are you not curious about what's gonna happen next. Now as an Indian, I'm not sure if the Indian orphanage thing was important to the plot, but it sure as hell as added a layer to it which also juxtaposes the differences between the two countries. Watching it in 2023, there was also an element of nostalgia about the time when i was a little 6 year old in 2006 when the movie was released and it was great to see my own country first-hand and the little glimpses of the culture, it made me feel at home and have great respect for the character of Mads. All in all - a wonderful experience.
The most appropriate cover poster of a movie I've ever seen.
That's great, now i need to watch John Wick again to see some dog killing retribution.
The church scene was it. I do agree with the director's take that it was nobody's fault, EXCEPT FOR THE mf WHO THREW A STONE IN THE HOUSE, KILLED THE DOG AND SHOT LUCAS (YEAH!!! IN THE ALTERNATE ENDING, HE ACTUALLY FUCKING SHOT HIM)
If you've heard about this movie and know about Russia's state sponsored doping, then this movie will just tell you "Yeah!". That's it, for 2 hours.
The strongest comedy special I've watched in recent memory! Historic, unforgettable, superb and funny as f!
Nice movie overall, great chemistry between the cast and fun antics. Not too great on the plot though, i don't know if Thor (franchise)can survive without Loki whereas Loki seems to be doing fine with literally him(her)self.
Ah it's fine. Not all it's propped up to be, other than Terry Crews not much comedy and even though the concept is interesting the execution is pretty boring and repetitive.
Nice and legendary at the same time.
If i call this the best special imma be Hippocrates, BUT i do believe he's gonna get better, solid first special.
2 of the most handsome men alive can't save a shite movie. Just retire Russos, your best work is behind you.
yeah maybe everybody just dies in real life but that doesn't make a great movie damnit, 1.5 hours of brilliance followed by eh! fuck it.
This was literally nothing BUT somehow one of the best movies I've ever seen. Maybe it was the soundtrack, i don't know, but I was lost.
if this doesn't change your life, i don't know what will.
Doctor Strange : It's Not You Its the Darkhold
Underwhelmed : The basicity of this movie cannot be stressed upon more.
Prime now, not today now! :joy:
But the hot dogs for fingers thing was still the weirdest thing ever. It made me uncomfortable.
Was pretty pumped for this, little bit underwhelmed now. But i gotta say it was still better than many highly critically rated Netflix specials, u know the ones I'm talking about. Even though not all the jokes seemed to work in the second half, it was still an okay experience.
It was pretty good, not very good but pretty good. DC is a mess though, there are so many universes to keep track off, the kid from Titans was in the movie, scratch that cause their Batman's from Game of Thrones, then there's the Snyderverse, which i guess is still on, cuz "the justice league" appeared at the end of Peacemaker, and now this creates another shared universe.
a true masterpiece in stand up
the 33 minute setup to this movie was so misleading.
Amazing! This was so much better than Hotel Transylvania 4 (watched em both tonight)
