Gotta say I’m impressed with Mark Paul-Gosselaar. Not bad for the Saved By The Bell guy. The pilot falls a bit flat at the midpoint and I‘m not sure Fox is a great home for The Passage. Would have loved to see it on AMC or HBO, but hey I‘m glad they are making one of my favorite books into a tv show. As I said Gosselaar shows surprising depth in this role. And the little girl is off to a strong start too. I hope they can keep the show going at this level. Btw, music selection for the show is great!
It has a big emphasis on family drama. If you're into that you'll probably enjoy it, but honestly I think it doesn't come anywhere close to the likes of Expanse.
I thought that Parker Posey was cast for the heck of it as Dr. Smith when I first heard she was cast. However since she is always good I knew she wouldn't be bad. She is a show stealer though and owns the show along with the alien robot. The show can be slow, but is much better than the 1998 movie. Due to being visually stunning, fun, well acted "but not by everyone" and feels like watching a big summer movie at home.
The movie is so good; i read the book in school and the movie is way better, it has much more action.
damn, what a nice surprise. i sure hope the sequel doesn't take long....
I only wish TV of today had the balls that this show had.
They sure as hell don't make them like this any more.
Cool loved fantastic real good
This is a masterpiece. It's like new episodes of the original Star Trek. The sets, lighting, and camera work are all like the original. The actors have a tougher job, but I'm starting to really like the cast members in their own right.
Please watch TOS "Mirror, Mirror" and then Star Trek Continues "Fairest of Them All" back to back, because it's an awesome experience. Reflect on the social commentary being made. Consider that "Mirror, Mirror" was made in 1967 when America had started a war on false pretenses and a whistleblower had revealed that the CIA had "tortured some folks." This sort of disguised social commentary is, after all, the very essence of Star Trek.
