battle of the fuck-up chefs, love it
i think this os the most drama I've seen in a GBM episode! these sure are some catty chefs
boy oh boy does Flangan know how to stick the landing
have a drink every time someone says they were working without weekends for decades/sleep 4 hours a night/work 12+ hours every day etc - you'll be hammered by the end of 2nd episode. scary collision of Asia's toxic work ethic and globally shitty conditions in the food industry. at least most of the protagonists here seem to enjoy what they do, but nobody should live like this in the 21st century
They really built M'Benga up this season. Barely noticed him Season 1, easily one of the favorite characters this season with an arc that would be at home in DS9.
great decision to recast Octavian. nothing against the previous actor, but he was cast as a precocious child, and the new Octavian is a cold-blooded machiavellian schemer. Simon Woods plays him almost like a serial killer, those icy eyes give me the chills every time.
The Okja gag was so good. And, as someone who didn't touch beef or pork or any other mammal meat since i saw it, i can totally relate.
What an incredible monologue at the end, Suchet really expanded his range for that one. Seething anger from Poirot is so rare to see, and there's so much more there.
Might be my favorite episode so far. Killer supporting cast, heartbreaking story, intense and very well performed drama. The mystery might be not that tricky, and i could have used a bit more of Poirot himself, but the story of this group would have been worthy to watch even completely without Poirot
coming to Stargate as a trekkie i nearly died from how many times this episode violates the prime directive. really hard to keep watching considering the writers never thought that any of things going on here are problematic for a space exploring race
Judges are so bad this season. Boring as hell, no personality, and bizarre judgements that completely go against veteran's. Nathan didn't diserve this shit, thank god they brought him back next season
Love the Dan Dority reunion <3
somebody just went "you know what's the best part of kaiju movies? the technobabble" and for some reason nobody stopped them
