Even with it’s multiple flaws this movie is stil rewatchable and very enjoyable. Bale as Gorr is the highlight of this movie for me. Portman’s character was misused in my opinion, that “eat my hammer.” Almost made me skip that whole scene. The ending as childish as it was I loved it especially the scene between Thor and Gorr’s daughter.
Amazing movie! I loved the visual experience, I didn't quite like Tom Hanks in this film I think I would've liked if the colonel was played by an actor that looks like him instead of Tom Hanks with a shitload of disturbing make-up, other than that the film is just superb and Austin Butler is so so good as Elvis. Oscar winning performance in my opinion.
What an amazing movie. I expected way less than what it actually delivered. Fyi Emily Blunt is super hot.
This film made me cry like a baby.
Never have I felt as much emotions in a film before as much as I did here.
What a masterpiece. The best superhero movie to be ever made.!!!
WOW. That is a great romantic film, it just perfectly had all the essentials of a romantic film, the actors did a good job, I felt a connection with the majority of the characters except for the sister, the story was an emotional rollercoaster, even with the fact that our hero have kind of a superpower it felt so real, and that just shows how good the story was written. Overall, it's one of my favourite romantic films ever.
I recently had the chance to rewatch this piece of art in theatre, and it was just mind-blowing, the story and the music was just amazing, I invite everyone who have the chance to see it in a cinema to do so because the experience is so different from watching it on a normal screen. Now to talk about the acting in it, I felt a bit of awkwardness as I always had this idea that the actors did an incredible job in this film, I'm not saying otherwise, but it just wasn't as incredible as I thought it was, some lines felt really cheesy but giving that it's a 1999 film it's understandable that the dialogue isn't very cool. The CGI even at 2021 is still very acceptable and very enjoyable at moments, which shows how great the job that was done on that film is. Overall, one of my all-time favourite movies.
I felt in this movie that the story's build up to their relationship was childish, the way they showed us the ups and downs they had in their relationship was not enough for me to connect with them, Keanu Reeves in this movie proved that being handsome isn't enough to be a good actor and on the other hand I didn't hate Charlize Theron's performance, to be fair this movie is a remake of a 1968 movie, so it's understandable that they didn't have enough material to work on, so we can probably blame that for the tons of negatives we can find in this movie. Overall, it was just a poor movie.
I quite enjoyed this movie, the acting was on point, I was afraid that the fake Italian accent might be bothering, but it didn’t, just in some moments when I felt an inconsistency in Al Pacino’s accent, The shooting angles were exceptional in some moments especially at the beginning of the film, the music was alright in the majority of the time I just felt a little awkwardness in the wedding scene when that song started playing as I felt it wasn’t matching with how the track of event is going, Jared Leto was exceptional in his role, I liked Adam Driver as well, but that wasn’t a surprise as he’s one of the most talented actors of his generation, Lady Gaga was surprisingly convincing in her role and was able to keep up with Driver and Leto, but I must say Al Pacino was my biggest disappointment in this movie, his inconsistency was just annoying at times, I only felt that he was actually doing his job in the scene where his son told him that he sold his shares The movie was 158 minutes, but I did not feel boredom at all. In general, it was an enjoyable movie I wouldn’t be surprised if it got a couple of Oscar nominations
