the key reason why i didn't give this 10 stars was because Sol A and Joon-hwi never properly ended up tgt ;-;
this show grows on you surprisingly... lee sun gyun and gong hyo jin DELIVER and their chemistry is OFF the charts

You would probably be better off watching other, more recent shows than Coffee Prince, unless you're a diehard Gong Yoo fan (who carries this drama)
if you've watched strong girl bong soon, imagine that, but five times better (no homophobia AND ji soo still has a cameo!). the casting for this was pretty much perfect, with the chemistry between the two leads being off the charts. their characters prove their love for each other through meaningful actions and this show as a whole is incredibly underrated. please watch this you won't regret it.
the most impactful part of watching this kdrama was learning afterwards that kim young-min who plays edward is FORTY-NINE
Not bad but not great - there are a lot of better kdramas out there. It starts off quite strongly and is fast-paced throughout, maintaining a lot of tension but it then adds too many secondary, unnecessary characters and doesn't explain the plot as thoroughly as it should, leaving you in quite the state of confusion afterwards. Kim Young-min's acting range is admirable and he carries the show, though the other actors are pretty good too. It's just the PLOT.... or the HAIRBALL it is...
Watch it for Park Bo Gum's great acting, the pretty good OST, outfit inspiration and a somewhat accurate portrayal of your twenties. Don't watch it for Park So Dam not having enough screentime or (mild spoiler) the many unresolved storylines at the end
If there's a real-life Yong-shik out there please find me.
Secret Garden (2010) recreated but with a role reversal and a deeper exploration of social issues. And impossibly good looking people
I was pleasantly surprised by the time I finished the show; at the beginning I felt Seo Ye Jin's character was excessively pushy and really didn't deserve such a great guy but her character development was heartening to watch. All three main characters had strong character development throughout the series and even the guest stars (kwak dong-yeon!!) played their parts perfectly. My favourite part was the editing; even though the cinematography sorta dipped towards the end, I'd never seen anything like the transitions and animations at the beginning in a kdrama. I loved the part with Kwak Dong-yeon's character and the way they portrayed what he was thinking.
it's understandable why Saeroyi ends up with who he does but they really rushed the ending in the last four episodes so we never got to fully understand and see their relationship develop :/
this is considered a classic among kdramas but it normalized and romanticized sexual assault just because it's Hyun Bin doesn't mean it's not sexual assault
there are a lot of better kdramas out there but this one has Cha Eun-woo <3
