At least Betty is still doing good
I had high expectation about this anime, but it didn't live up to it. What I wanted was historical drama, but what I've got was magical mecha fighting cartoon.
I am not against magic or mecha, but in this case they were definitely unnecessary.
The only thing that was okay in this show was animation, everything else is just bad: voice acting (unrealistic and emotionless), plot pacing (overly fast, they told almost nothing about heroes, you don't have time to feel anything for them), dialogs are random...
Overall it feels like cheap anime with big budget. I regret not reading comments before diving into this.
"about sex? forget it" just killed me, what a beast
Did they cut the budget? Animation quality dropped :/
And dialogs are kinda amateurish...
2 episodes in and it still looks like generic anime, with generic animation, with generic plot (but with BaTTle RoYAl)
It feels like some doctor who episode with cheesy non-believable villains.
If you, like me, thought that this is some kind of furry slice of life cringy anime, then I can assure that it is not. Posters with cute character on them can be misleading...
Somewhat hard to watch. While plot is bearable, the direction and editing is not. They literally just took manga pages and added animations to each of them without any transition. Is this anime of animated manga slideshow?
And these eyes! These eyes are just dead! Why are theying try to express all emotions only through mouth and creepy smiles? zannen
At first, it was nice and cute, but halfway through it become kinda boring and unnecessarily dramatic.
I was really moved by perfect blue and paprika, and decided to explore other works of Satoshi Kon. While animes mentioned above are literal masterpieces the paranoia agent is kinda meh. It is more absurd rather than mystery. But overall it was enjoyable anime with couple of annoying fillers.
The best anime of the season, no isekai-vikings, beautifully animated, solid storytelling, character behavior looks realistic, and not exaggerated as in typical anime. The only weak spot so far is OP (which bad only at the start because it doesn't match visuals with warships and stuff).
Yet another family comedy movie, but some action elements.
All you need to know about world setup:
- 5% of the total population are assassins
- people are don't really care about neither being killed nor watching someone getting killed
- everyone tries to kill John Wick
- no one really wants to kill John Wick
- the best way to kill someone is actually least efficient but the most spectacular, at least when it comes to killing John Wick
Overall actions were good enough, comedy was good at some points. But I can't bring myself to rate this more than 6, because it is just so average family-comedy-action movie.
Great animation, but full of cliche, with hollow predictable plot.
Edit after finishing 1st season:
Half way through it became more interesting, I'm glad I didn't drop it after first 3 boring episodes.
I feared that this episode would be uneventful after previous one but damn it's already -1 dragon, tons of lost ships, spread of Jon's secret information and spiteful negotiation.
the only thing that I don't understand is why didn't they just shoot deny&co during negotiation?
The entire series feel like prelude to some hentai.
On the one hand genuine dialogues, plot and style, one the other hand IT IS SO LEWD, SOOO LEEEWD.
After very boring endgame, this is just what I needed. Fully packed action episode, without stupid obvious moments, with minimum dialogs (as it should be) and nonetheless maximum delivery. Stayed hooked for whole hour.
My disappointment is immeasurable, but my day is not ruined.
At least CGI was great (as always).
is this considered a bad trip?
I have feared that this would be childish show, but after such promising start I have no doubts that it is not for kids.
anime had great start but after couple of episodes it became so slow, overly optimistic, overly cute (in a bad way), cheesy and just booooooring
2/10 main plot, very predictable and straightforward
8/10 slice of life stuff, was kinda fun to watch
10/10 edna, as always
overall it was good, but, as many others noted, not as good as first movie, the only thing that improved is graphics (x1000)
It's kinda annoying that they try to gamify literally everything. And regular people for some reason also know about all these level-up/mob farming things...
"Hmmm, we don't have enough lolis recently, let's add one."
it was very sweet ending for this kind of show :3
cringy, edgy, but for some reason quite interesting to watch
the only good goblin is dead goblin
literally anything: *moves*
matt: i'm gonna make joke about it
Every 30 seconds (or less) there is a joke about something. No matter how stupid jokes are, no matter if they are appropriate for situation, they are just there and you are waiting for them. You know that whatever happen there would be a joke about it. And because of this it's fairly hard to watch this show. So predictable, so plain... (But some jokes were good.)
It's almost like sitcom but animated and w/o background laugh.
Before merge she was blonde and now with pink hair again. Did she in last season broke up into 2 girls?
episode was fine but kinda hard to watch with all these Tina stuff. BUT THE ENDING SONG WAS HILARIOUS!
"messing with Tina is a privilege not a right!"
