Not sure how I feel about it, especially with the trailers at the end, but as a Swedish person it probably is my most viewed movie whether I like it or not - December 24th every year since '97 for me!
Two episodes in a row to not feature a scene before the intro credits, I wonder why?
I guess I'm both surprised and relieved over how happy of an ending this was, all things considered. There were a few character arcs that I would've liked to see more of a clear ending on, but considering how this show mostly ended character arcs with death I suppose I should take it for what it is.
I'm not sure I like where any of the characters are heading in this season
Although I thought Bodie's death was completely unnecessary (could've at least made it Michael who killed him). I've got to say once again I started this season as a skeptic but have now grown to love it, something I think is shared with others based on the average ratings of each season https://www.ratingraph.com/tv-shows/the-wire-ratings-13995/. Really great!
I liked the parts in the end where the people who were the subject of the debate were the least interested in watching.
I went in to this expecting it to be Jeremy doing yet another half-assed attempt at everything á la Top Gear, and although the show certainly had a lot of it (I refuse to believe his ignorince wasn't feigned at parts) I genuinely was surprised to find myself enjoying the parts where he did try and he did achieve stuff.
I think I probably would've preferred James May more methodological approach, but this show really did have a lot to offer. Hoping for a second season with perhaps happier results and more experienced choices!
I'm gonna pay you $100 to fuck off
All in all a really good calendar series compared to previous years!
