American Crime Story: Season 2

A very sad series, not exactly how I imagined it after listening to the AllKillaNoFilla podcast episode on this. I'm going to have to watch it in chronological order now as well, though it was very interesting laying each person's trysts with him out like that. There's something very poignant about having all of the people's lives told for them when so little could ever be known AND having it all in such a glamorous and sunny backdrop.

American Crime Story: 2x09 Alone

Really very sad moments for Gianni 's funeral, and then vicar of dibley theme tune

American Crime Story: 2x04 House by the Lake

This series is making me really sad, I think the fact it's based on a true story is part of it but the whole made up dialogue is also dreary. Ryan Murphy really knows how to get you feeling.

American Crime Story: 2x03 A Random Killing

This was such a sad episode, so many emotional attachments to these characters/real people.

Russian Doll: 1x08 Ariadne

The pregnant pause between Nadia and Maxine when Maxine throws her drink over Nadia is so funny - just what friends are for

Middleditch & Schwartz: 1x01 Parking Lot Wedding

This had me cackling, a fantastic piece of comedy from across the pond.

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina: 2x11 Chapter Thirty-One: The Weird

I'm beginning to think that our Sabrina can overcome anything, and I'm wondering if the next 5 Eldritch Terrors are actually going to make a dent. It makes for really good storytelling having her win and everything being neatly wrapped up at the end of each episode.

Handsome Devil

This is quite clever, you are lead to believe that Ned's character may be gay but it's never explicitly stated and it's quite possible that he's not.

You, Me and Him

Sally Phillips plays such a fantastic character in this!

The Vicar of Dibley: 3x03 Spring

Alice's ending response is fantastic in the episode

Whose Line is it Anyway?: 10x01 Brad Sherwood, Wayne Brady, Colin Mochrie, Ryan Stiles

Wayne Brady is so talented! He makes this episode for sure

The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause

I did enjoy this movie but the continuity wasn't great in the past scene and the suspense of belief wasn't there for Alan Arkin's reactions. I think they left this franchise at the right time.

The Grinch

Not as funny as the live action Grinch but still a quirky and enjoyable movie on it's own.

Shameless: 3x06 Episode 6

"What are you looking at?" "I don't know but it's fucking ugly and it's looking back" - Easily the funniest line of the series so far!

Out of Her Mind: 1x06 The Beautiful Garden

Factual art, this was a great end to a great series!

Out of Her Mind: 1x03 My Life is Ova

The start of this is fantastic! So much of this show is great, I love Sara so much

loading replies
The Duchess: 1x04 Episode 4

"do you know what it's called when women use feminism to oppress each other?" "white feminism?" some good jokes in this episode but this had me cackling!

The Haunting of Bly Manor: 1x05 The Altar of the Dead

Wow what a poignant twist!

loading replies
Ghosts: 2x03 Redding Weddy

Fanny is outstanding in this, really makes the episode!

loading replies
Joan Rivers: Don't Start with Me

I could barely get through this, the jokes are terrible and she relied too much upon the pregnant pause

The Boys: 2x05 We Gotta Go Now

The British accents in this show are all over the ruddy shop.

The Office: 9x10 Lice

Nelly is so great in this :joy:

The Office: 9x03 Andy's Ancestry

"Wow, that person really has got him- or herself into quite a predicament" Perfect. Comic. Timing.

Upload: 1x10 Freeyond

Capitalism is messed up! This episode was good for wrapping up the story but it felt like it was missing something. Also the drama with the elevators and the conversation immediately afterwards was unrealistic.

The Witches of Eastwick

Unfortunately this film was very slow and the plot was unrealistic for the relationship that friends have, the cast and acting was great however.

Tales from the Loop: 1x04 Echo Sphere

This episode deals with death in such an interesting way, the manor in which the fireflies turn into coins from Coles perspective when they had died and been replaced juxtaposed to the blunt discussion from his grandpa in the presence of the inevitability of the echosphere. The episode was not so much about Sci-Fi but about the human condition, we all want an after life but perhaps the best we can do is live the life we have.

The X-Files: 11x09 Nothing Lasts Forever

Such a creepy episode, not because of some monster but because it's so very human.

loading replies
The X-Files: 11x04 The Lost Art of Forehead Sweat

Very good. Incase you missed it, at 14:10 a company name is dubbed out in a rant about conspiracy - this has made the episode

The X-Files: 10x01 My Struggle

YESSSS! The classic start sequence is BACK

The X-Files: 9x20 The Truth (2)
