Maybe I wasn't in the mood, maybe I'm too stupid, maybe I don't understand anything about cinema, but I didn't find ITMFL to be a masterpiece, as many people call it. Still it remains a beautiful film, an unfulfilled love story accompanied by a monstrous soundtrack.

Simple, beautiful, visually stunning. A film that shows how children are often ignored despite their enormous intelligence and empathy for their friend in need. I mean, who would continually go up and down a city whose street you don't know half the way just to return a notebook of a classmate whose home you don't even know? Only an 8-year-old child could do that.

Cool transactions, spectacular shots, the plot takes a while to get going, so much so that I found the first 45 minutes quite boring. Also, I found that it often delves into points that are not entirely useful for the development of the main plot, but still it remains a beautiful film with a perfect ending.

You start the film with this crazy opening sequence, certainly memorable. The movie remains fascinating, from a technical point of view, for the whole duration of the movie ; those long takes are an orgasm for the eyes, the scene where there are motorcycles going around the cops and meanwhile shooting those fireballs at them reminded me of Harry Potter lmao but still very beautiful visually.
But unfortunately, the biggest flaw of the film and what ruins it, is the plot, totally absent : you are plunged into this world of chaos without first having an explanation of what is going on, why they behave the way they do, the various backstories of the characters... nothing is explained.
Big shame, because even the acting however is good (I recommend watching in the original language, i.e. French)

It is amazing how cinema done well can make the viewer empathize so much with the protagonist, and that is the case with The Quiet Girl.
Despite the little dialogue, I was able to feel every single emotion the little girl was feeling, I wanted to reach into the screen and hug her tightly, until I burst into tears in the final scene with that cookie and the "Daddy."
Wonderful soundtrack, the little girl acted great even though she is only 12 years old, poor plot but strong impact, it is more focused on making you empathize with the girl. One of the best films of 2022

Too long, I would have cut many parts making it a 1h45m film, 2 hours maximum. The antagonist is the only thing that is minimally characterized, explaining why he acts the way he does. Shitty ending, usual Marvel happily ever after. Anyway, it's not bad, but not good either; it's watchable, nothing more

Aftersun is one of those films that wants to remind you of how precious time spent with one's family is. In the film we see the relationship between a father and his daughter, who spend a vacation at a resort. Yes, it is a mundane and simple plot, but it is told in such a beautiful way. Seeing the father taking care of his daughter (and vice versa), seeing the two of them happily spending good times, made me smile throughout the film.
All opposed with scenes in which we see, in my interpretation, the father's depression, the unreadiness to have a daughter at such a young age for him. But despite everything, what matters most to him is seeing her smile, and that made me emotional.
Various scenes brought tears to my eyes, especially the final shot, when we realize that the two of them, after the vacation, never saw each other again, and all that was left for the daughter of her dead father were the recordings they made (my guess, the father committed suicide because of the weight of too much responsibility, perhaps? I don't know).
Incredible film, incredible debut by Charlotte Wells, catch it up.

Totally above my expectations, I didn't think I would like it, since the first one is shit.
Terrifier 2 has a plot, and a decently written one at that, covering this 2h20m, a fair length in my opinion, with a beautiful setting, gore scenes, funny but at the same time scary/scary gags by Art, an alternate which I really enjoyed (how much I laughed when he was trying on glasses in the costume store).
As for the acting, I liked the main character, she acted well, the mom's performance was the best, otherwise everyone else was decent
I get to 1h45m into the movie and say "Wow but it's really good this Terrifier 2! I didn't think that..." and then comes the ending. My God how much I hated this thing about the magic sword stitching up his wound, how much I hated that the movie ended like this, with the little girl taking Art's head and leaving, with the two main characters hugging each other. What happened to "man without a penis?" And what are the consequences of all that happened? Okay, they want to make a sequel, I get that, but personally I don't like open endings at all. And I also don't like it when in the movies, randomly, some mystical power, coming out of nowhere and only when death is near, saves the day. I would have preferred a more realistic, less mystical ending.
In conclusion, Terrifier 2 I consider it a good movie, beautiful until the last half hour ; maybe I consider it as such because I had very low expectations seeing the first one and thinking that it was just a slasher/gore movie with totally random killings and without a logical reason, I left thinking "OK, I'm going to watch a shitty movie." But no, I spent 2h20m entertained by Art's gags and the horror setting present in the film

I had been waiting for this film since the beginning of the year, with high expectations, but it was a great disappointment.
Poorly written, shitty soundtrack, monotonous movie in which there are 30 min of crying and depression and 5 min of happiness, and so on for all 3 hours. Some shots looked like cutscenes from some video game, choice of black and white alternating with color, cool but nonsensical (maybe I am stupid to understand the meaning and if someone wants to explain it to me, please do), meh editing.
The only thing that keeps me from giving a rating below 2.5 stars is Ana de Armas, she blew me away, she was great and also deserves the oscar nomination. Otherwise, the usual movie/documentary about Marylin Monroe about the bad things that happened in her life (and solely about those).

Don't understand why this movie is so negatively criticized.
I thought it was a good movie, sure, there are some doubts about the death of Harry Styles, that is, why if one dies in the virtual world, he should also die in the real world, the ending then is also predictable, but I still found it a good movie. Florence Pugh as usual incredibly good and proves to be a young and talented girl, she will surely make her way in the film world ; Harry Styles, although I thought he would suck, was also good in acting. Peculiar and beautiful soundtrack, I appreciated it very much.

What is depression and loneliness told in a horror film.
I didn't dislike it as a film, however, I was quite bored with it. Maybe I was not too much in the mood, maybe the environment around me was not among the best for such a film. It started well, especially with the hallway scene, but after that it lost and started to bore me.

As someone already mentioned, it is very reminiscent of Texas Chainsaw Man, but with sex scenes. All in all it is a movie I found cute, beautiful soundtrack.

A film that founded the fake documentary genre, Cannibal Holocaust comes across as a film that is not easy to watch and certainly not for everyone.
As already mentioned by many other reviews here, the presence of animals that are really killed is something that surely does not escape the eye : I understand Ruggero Deodato's intention to give as much credibility as possible to the splatter scenes afterwards (and he succeeded in his intention as well) but I find that it was not necessary to have to kill real animals.
Despite the big stir it made, even making people believe that it was a snuff movie (and this shows the stupidity present in some people), Cannibal Holocaust still remains a beautiful film, a very important cult film. Well edited, shot all by hand, the film makes us think, even with the final sentence, about the cruelty of human beings, and I am not just talking about the tribe, but also about those we consider "normal" people.
I consider it a must-see film, but again, I am aware that it is not a film for everyone and that some people would refuse to watch it.

Very good film, always keeps you anxious about what will happen next, as a good thriller should. The final scene is a very heartbreaking thing and it was also well constructed, having to make a choice like that is definitely not easy, and the one that fits the main character is the best thing he could do.
It is not totally explained what caused all that mess, I guess it is some kind of curse (?). Dialogues that seem a bit forced in some parts of the film, sometimes it seems like two NPCs from a video game talking to each other.
Still, it remains a very good thriller.
And as in almost every movie where she acts, there is Nicole Kidman naked.

Not a masterpiece, but a cult nonetheless. Technically monstrous, but the length a bit too long, 30 minutes could very well have been shortened. Touching, raw but without too much violence, Tom Hanks incredible also in this film, The Green Mile turns out to be a wonderful film, to be seen at least once in a lifetime, but if you watch it for more than 3 times it tires.

Fun and interesting comedy, an hour and a half that goes by smoothly. It's the usual Woody Allen film, lighthearted and cheerful, with no particular plot twists, but as simple as the film shows you. I would have preferred, however, if there had been no happy ending (but that's to be expected since Woody Allen only does happy endings).

One of the best war films, if not the best, Come And See turns out to be a real nightmare.
The last 30 minutes were a stab in the heart, showing scenes that were inhumane but unfortunately, really happened. The camera is perfect, plunging us right into the boy's eyes, creating an empathy for him and his people that will shatter our souls. The acting of the boy (and also the girl) are nothing short of perfect for this type of film. The long takes in their eyes filled with terror at the sight of those attrocities, wow.
It is a devastating, brutal, dark, and sad film, and there is no Hollywood happy ending. It is pure war. And Klimov shows it to us as it really was, with this masterpiece of a film.
I have nothing more to say, just watch it.

What about a genius like Fellini. This director is incredible and never gets one wrong (not surprisingly, he is my favorite).
Giulietta degli spiriti turns out to be a stupendous film, an incredible journey between reality and madness, with some horror undertones toward the finale. Wonderful cinematography, perfect acting for this kind of film, wonderful soundtrack. Some parts may be a bit slower, but it is 2h10m that passes while watching a film that visually is stunning.

Grotesque and surreal, The Sadness comes across as a classic zombie film with a different development than usual that from the very start makes it clear that the infected are not real zombies. Good cinematography, good actors, lots of blood (even more than Tarantino) that gives the film a touch of irony, but still the classic horror movie clichés are present, and you already know where the film's ending is going.
All in all I enjoyed it, for a B-grade splatter movie I expected worse.

As I expected, a crappy movie. Throughout the movie you will only see doors slamming and pans falling. The only thing that doesn't make me put a lower rating than this is the ending, in which something is seen and happens (and it's also done well).

"I'm not understanding anything but my god that's cool."
Grotesque and surreal, Possession comes across as a horror mixed with science fiction (there is a crossover with Squiddy from Spongebob), psychological drama, thriller, and splatter. It's a crazy, mad movie from start to finish, and if you don't understand us unc azzo, relax, that's normal, but there is that something, and not just Isabelle Adjani, that makes this movie very enjoyable.
Speaking of Isabelle, MY GOD HOW FUCKING GOOD SHE WAS. THE SUBWAY SCENE IS MIND BLOWING, MY MOUTH WAS OPEN IN AMAZEMENT THE WHOLE TIME. She blends perfectly with the essence of insanity in the film, with those eyes that make you both fear and dread, but also fall in love with her beauty.
It is not a film I would recommend to everyone, but my God, if you like this kind of thing, catch it up.
