Didn’t try to be funny or referential but weirdly enough one of the best constructed and delivered episode from recent seasons in my opinion.
Edit: I also agree with other watchers that it seems silly to focus a narrative on children growing up when characters are stuck in a loop where the world evolves alongside our own without them ever changing (or marginally so, after all they live on Evergreen Terrace). However, to me, it felt right (we've already seen younger versions of Bart and Lisa, so it isn't a first) and the suspension of disbelief worked. Maybe because some character issues and relations were portrayed in the right way (this episode's writer wrote a lot of Marge-centric episodes), maybe it just spoke to me.
