Licorice Pizza

Didn't like it or didn't understand it, I cannot tell. It left me nothing except that vivid 70s vibe, really on point. Only thing I actually enjoyed.

The Crown: 5x10 Decommissioned

An overall boring season, it lacked the appeal and pace (and substance of contents) previous seasons had imo

Tulip Fever

Too much rushed out to be truthfully good. What a pity though, cast and plot had potential

the fact that the actual supposedly-happy ending hurt more than the worst scenarios I was picturing while watching episode after episode... such a good drama indeed

La La Land

I'm not a fan of musicals, at all, so I was sceptical to say the least. That said, I think I mostly enjoyed because it was so far from my tastes and 'comfort zone' in movies. Not very fond to catchy singings, random dances or that poetic aesthetics, but it kinda worked and it was quite enjoyable even for me. Best part: the ending, for sure.

The Leopard

Beautiful costumes, beautiful scenaries... an authentic pleasure to watch. I greatly enjoyed as well how Italian historical events merged naturally into the family life's narration, making of them more than mere context. Also, great performance by Burt Lancaster imho

Roman Holiday

Honestly I thought I would have loved it more than I actually did, it being a masterpiece of cinema and one of the most iconic Audrey Hepburn's film. I think what I really enjoyed though was the ending: that final cut on Gregory Peck leaving the conference room... gosh that really got me.

The Breakfast Club

Great movie, still worthy to be watched in 2021. Just wished the very end of the film was different: i wasn't botherd by the coupling (i mean this was meant to be a teen movie) but without all that makeover part would have been basically perfect.

North & South

I cannot believe I've never watched this before! I mean, it is like the perfect bbc-kind of period drama.
