This show was AWESOME! The ingenuity and ambition of the various projects get very creative and the overextension and sheer delusion that some of them build with makes for very entertaining "crash and burn" scenes.
This is, by far, my favorite version of this play! I've seen other productions of it, but every single one of them obviously were trying to copy the performances in this version.
Jason Robarts was such a gem--but the standout performance has to be the great Elizabeth Wilson!
It's not just because of Phil Hartman.... it's not just because of Dave Foley.... This show is great because of the ENSEMBLE CAST and GREAT WRITING backed by the legendary comedy super-producers Brillstein-Gray.
Even if it did take a huge hit with the death of Phil, the last season still has some very funny concepts, great episodes, and wonderful performances from the cast.
