nouvelle vague but make it ramen. there are parodies of western, road stories, drama and a little bit of woman empowerment, love and lots of food. just make a big bowl of ramen as a company and it will make the experience so much better (both for the movie and the food)

the cinematography in this film is just chef's kiss.. but i think it relies on it too much so the storyline weakens because of it. also i get the mix but the political story and the myth is not working that well together in this film, i think
it's not a unique movie but there are some enjoyable subtext that becomes more clear as it goes on. disturbing parts are really effective and i like that too, but the mansplaining at the end....that was the most disturbing part for me.
ideologically speaking, this movie sucks and i hate scott but also i love it and there are some great details and it is one of my fav comfort movies
similar to ozon's swimming pool which is a way better movie but i like this one too. i think the director also loves "who's afraid of virginia woolf" but the writing is not at that level. kinda wanted another chapter for the flood but loved aubrey's performance. also you can't trust anything and nothing is real.
the analytical part of me wanted to examine it...but I know it has no content.
