Other than having to mute the god-awful theme song, I'm loving this series.
Glad to see tradTrek (traditional Trek) is back! I miss this format and style of Star Trek.
Nothing wrong with the other nuTrek, they're all great on their own, but as someone who grew up watching Star Trek, the style of TOS, TNG, DS9, VOY, and ENT, have grown on me. It's more about the issues we are facing today, in real life, as well as meaningful life realizations. Picard is like that but it is more about Jean-Luc. Discovery is like that but it is more about the conflict and the characters.
But tradTrek is different. The approach is to let the audience relate and think of the world around them.
Best of all, finally, we have a Captain Pike canon series! We seriously lack canon materials around Pike and his time with the Enterprise and it has been requested since the 90s. Finally! Let me say that again, FINALLY!
Extraordinary hilarious! Very clever and so out of bounds...
NoHo Hank...best character. Hope he gets a bigger role if there is another season. He’s awesome on Gotham as well.
Show is so predictable but it still manages to be the funniest show left on TV.
Thanks, but I really, really, really don't care.
At this point I think Narcos might actually be my favorite currently running show. Each season I think they can't keep up the quality because of major actor/character departures but they keep proving me wrong and are even improving IMO.
It was easily more believable than the Bible or any of those other mankind controlling how-to manuals. The concept that Earth is the brainchild of a less than brilliant god who is the "special" child in a family of very successful gods in the Universe, makes perfect sense if you look at the insanity that is this planet. There was just the right mix of humor and suspense. I will watch season two.
Terrible season. I don't understand why D&D made us wait 2 years for this nonsense. Rushed and disappointing.
How will this be the last season of this series!! That's sad!!
Enjoyed this show right up until the last episode... can't say that for very many TV shows these days. 10/10
Man, this country is fucked.
Here I was, thinking AMC couldn't add to their already stellar lineup. Can't wait to see where this goes.
Look, let's cut to the chase here. This series was good, not fantastic just good. Take away Jason Bateman and put some lesser known actor in his place and it would have been mediocre at best.
It took me about 3 or 4 episodes before I got over his comedic background in Arrested Development, even then I thought some of his acting was very similar, the lingering looks and starring for one.
Some of the episodes were rather disjointed and did not flow well, some of the cinematography was ok but not outstanding. Much better in shows like Fargo, BCS, Quarry etc.
The last episode was good but I think they tried to cram too much in to it without giving any of it the time it deserved.
Ok, they left a few unanswered questions but I'd like to have seen a more complete end to it.
I'm sure it will get a second series, the Netflix hype train will take care of that. Had it been a TV release only, not sure of that.
Larry David is my social justice warrior.
I have seen two episodes. I can't imagine any way in which this series isn't going to be too long. I'm almost tempted to wait until it's over, then find someone who has seen it and knows video editing, and cut off all the unnecessary drama from it and turn it into a movie.
I don't know if I could ask anything more of a show. From the acting to the plot lines to the perpetual intrigue. Even when you think something is coming it works to undermine itself and land on a somber or intelligent note. Perfect casting in subtle character work to match subtle writing. This is what TV should be. It opens your mind and keeps you glued. It can be felt deep in your chest the power of story-telling and complete immersion and empathy can take root. I felt guilty trying to give it a 9 before watching the last 2 episodes. I'm rarely if ever so excited and joyous in looking forward to each one, that alone warrants the highest possible praise. This pushes our conception of ourselves. It's a bright and guiding light of authentic pursuit. What a privilege being able to experience this show.
This is a great show. Especially the first episode was mind boggling.
This is truly a remarkable show that makes you think about life and technology, as they are weaved stronger and stronger together. While most of it is for the betterment of humankind in the grand scheme of things, there are sides to it that can be a nightmare.
This is a series i won't soon forget and will watch many more times in the years to come. It's really a shame only 3 episodes have been made because this could have become a hit as big as other shows in the same genre as The X-Files or The Twilight Zone.
