John Wick has nothing to offer outside of ridiculous and repetitive fight sequences. It is unintelligent and uninteresting. Just a little mental stimulation is all I ask.
To be honest this was boring.
Nearly three hours of fighting is too long. JW total speech time on screen is less than 15 minutes. Some fighting scenes seem to be performed in rallenty.
Perhaps should have stopped with JW 2.
boring overlong fights with no tension (the guy one shot kills everyone in a bullet proof suit with unlimited ammo. yawn.), long talky lore scenes, an hour longer than it needs to be. the duel at the end was ok i guess. oh, keanu is awful in this. like meme level bad.
They never should have made this into a "universe".
Overly-complicated long fights that make no sense.
Keanu has 10 lines literally.
The only time he delivers lines with emotion is when he's speaking to Laurence Fishburne or - surprisingly - when he's talking in Russian.
Too many new characters that are there only to be killed / to be forgotten and basically nobody cares about them.
The villain is weak.
Too long, which equals too boring.
I am convinced that people just don't get what a good action movie is these days, not only because of the majority of the comments here, but also most people in my theatre liked it so much. Just because there are long complicated fight scenes, doesn't mean that this is a good action movie.
First John Wick film is a perfection. Second one was also very good. I will rewatch them and pretend that this was never a "universe".
Unfortunately just more of the same with fight scenes that we’ve seen many times before just A LOT longer. Why is Fishburne even in this? So many good characters who they refuse to involve and are just there. They introduce Clancy Brown but he’s barely in it and does nothing. The first movie was great with plenty of action and a good story that kept developing. The second was good and started to explore that world deeper but other than the guy in the desert they didn’t bother exploring that world further in 3 and 4 and instead just wanted more bullets.
Worst movie I have half watched all year, deleted after 45min
Enjoying it so far, started reading the books so I can see the differences.
Enough happens in the first episode to keep you watching. While the pace in later episodes lulls in parts due to all the character backstories, the story overall is well written and intriguing. Who are the mysterious Council? is outside the silo really a wasteland? Who created the Silo? I'm hooked and only half way through.
Started strong but in Ep 5 Im already checked out. The plot just fell apart and I couldn't care less about any of the characters including the Sheriff chick. Silo had a great concept but they don't have the script to support it and it's following an unfortunate trend of contemporary tv series where they launch with high hopes and dissolve into oblivion 5/10
The first season started well with suspense, intrigue, and promise. Unfortunately, the second season reveals it's only fantasy horror with little or no meaning. Characters and their motivations began breaking down rapidly. It's a shame, as I had been enjoying Boyd Stevens very much.
The Island stretched to 10 episodes?
What a piece of shit. Maybe the two worst actors I've seen in a long time. Very very poor. I'm out
The writing in the 2nd season is terrible. The events should have happened in a couple of episodes. Instead it was stretched out to 8 episodes. I can't believe they had the nerve to set it up for another season.
I suppose it was too much to hope Bob would do 3 amazing shows in a row. This one is pretty weak compared to Breaking Bad and Better call Saul.
Watched 3 episodes and dropping it, because it is boring af.
Should've been called "First World Problems". A story of a man with loving wife and a well paid job complaining about everything.
Begins quite good, but gets already worse during the first season. It's a quite formulaic crime drama. The production of the first few episodes seemed better, but now it's just boring as hell.
Brendan was great. This movie, however, was mid.
Wow. What a sad depressing movie sheesh.
Drama which does not impress. Reasons include the acting and the plot a bit flat, the plot construction a bit predictable and the ending a bit silly, the unimpressive cinematography, and the fact that in Europe such plot would not be realistic.
#30Coins is brutal, original and risky to say the least. A cocktail of horror, suspense, satanic mythology and we add a few esoteric touches. It's the pure Alex de la Iglesia recipe. It leaves the door open for a second season, which hopefully won't be too long in coming. Outstanding Megan Montaner, Macarena Gómez.
Offensive, Vile, Paranoid, Violent, Perverse, Dehumanising, Base. For some reading these adjectives, this will be a positive review, "Gotta see this, just love lurking around in the dark!" For me this is an indictment against a growing trend in art to elevate the vile and stigmatize hope or goodness. This message is all the more dangerous when marked by good performances, a powerful production, and digested by an immature audience (and I don't just mean chronologically). Good and evil have been a part of the world's framework since the beginning, but, folks, when our creative communities slander and misrepresent good as evil and frame life as inevitable moral failure, they precondition our culture to see a future without hope or choice. I won't support this project and rank it as a 3 (vile) out of 10. [Super Hero Noir]
Whackiest take of a Shades of Grey esque series with terrible dialogues, stereotypes and plot.
Unfortunately I had to sit through this due to my gf. Thanks for that partner.
Typical crapflix show made by bunch of first time film makers who asked ChatGPT to write, cast, film, edit, and produce the show.
Not awfully good cast, acting, directing or script writing. This is forgetful.
OMG, what is this? Its another filler in Netflix catalog. Don't bother, unless you have time to kill and the grass on the lawn outside is growing to slow.
A beautifully shot and acted, piece of shit. I would rather die in the apocalypse than watch this again.
I’ve been patient, I’ve watched 6 episodes but each and everyone is more boring than the previous. It’s a shame…. The idea is good but the writing has let it down terribly. 3 /10 at a push.
Babylon is a visually stunning film that takes viewers on a creative journey. The movie is not afraid to step outside the box, and it delivers a unique and captivating experience. The soundtrack is particularly noteworthy, adding an extra layer of emotion to an already powerful story. Overall, I loved this film and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a thought-provoking and visually stunning cinematic experience.
Am I the only one who loved this movie?
Sure, it's not perfect. But it shoots for the moon and, in my opinion, mostly succeeds.
