Marilyn Hotchkiss' Ballroom Dancing & Charm School

It's a good movie full of great talent. I can't necessarily say it's a heart warming story, but it is thought provoking.

John Goodman was great as the mature Steve Mills. The Marienne role was perfect for Mary Steenburgen.

It is funny to see Elden Henson in the small role of the 2005 production but more major (as young Steve Mills) in the short film from 1990 of the same name. Then of course, he's known as Foggy Nelson today.....

The Madness of King George

Nigel Hawthorne is amazing in this role. Helen Mirren is amazing as always. So much talent that comes into their own over the next 20+ years.

Love Actually

Such an amazing cast! And every time we watch it, we discover someone new that we see in other movies and tv shows!

Fright Night

Still a fun 80s classic vampire flick. So many things remind me of the Hammer vampire films!

Always a fan of Roddy McDowall!

The Christmas Chronicles

It was fun.

Seeing Santa sing is cliche, but the actual "Elvis" tribute associated with it brings back when he actually Played Elvis in a made for TV movie way back when (1978)...and funny enough directed by John Carpenter. The beginning of their fun adventures.

Blade II

I prefer the first one but this one is fun because of the cast - Wesley, Ron Perlman, Norma Reedus, Donnie Yen, Danny John-Jules, and so on...

Murder on the Orient Express

It’s fun rewatching this and seeing all the stars of the time. Personally I think Finley overacted in this movie but really enjoyed him in movies he did much later on.

The Sixth Sense

Still a great movie!

This was my introduction into Toni Collette who is such an awesome talent!

The Shining

Nicholson does an awesome job on crazy!

I’ve prob seen this movie 15+ times over the last 35+ years and it doesn’t get old. The descent to madness is still well done.

Unsane

Interesting concept being videoed on an iPhone. Story was fine.

mother!

WTF did I just watch?
Weird. I mean I think I get the overall idea behind the story and just how bad Humans really are.

What We Do in the Shadows

So I'm late to the show on this one and decided to watch it as it showed up suggested in Amazon Prime.

I was pleasantly surprised at how quirky and funny this movie was.

An Inspector Calls

This was definitely better than I expected. It pretty much keeps you engaged. Great cast!

Still wonder on the Inspector though.... :-)

Shutter Island

It's a great cast. The cinematography is great. I just felt it was predictable. Maybe I just waited too long to watch it even though I didn't discuss it with anyone.

I do like how the ending finished the story though.

Wonder Woman

I was so surprised by this movie. The characters were engaging. The acting was great. The casting was fantastic for all of the roles.

This is probably the best DC movie since the Dark Knight Trilogy!

Satan's School for Girls

Oh the days of the 1970's made for TV cult films.

Dig the white bellbottoms that Pam Franklin wears for the last third of the movie. Man the clothing of the times.

This has Aaron Spelling producing and pre-Charlie's Angels Kate Jackson (main supporting) and Cheryl Ladd (supporting). On a lighter note, it's funny to hear Kate Jackson say "Damn" in one of her lines.

Diamonds Are Forever

So it follows the traditional Bond theme.

Bond girls are the normal "hotness". Although this is the first time I remember actually catching brief nudity in a Bond movie (at the beginning when he takes the bikini top off of the first woman).

Cheesy effects but it is the 70s.

Mr. Wint and Mr. Kidd are quite funny in an odd kind of way and it's hard to tell if they are really just odd or if there really is a homosexual aspect of them. Violent and murderous regardless.

The Titan

I was getting "Man from Atlantis" initially. Then it kind of got really slow on the genetic alteration aspect. Then no longer human....

Did I mention slow?

Black Panther

It was a fun movie. It gives you an understanding of Black Panther, his family and Wakanda.

It will be key for the way Infinity War is being shaped up for.

Spider-Man: Homecoming

This one was a lot of fun. Funny moments and some solid action.

Tom Holland does great as Peter/Spidey. Keaton does an amazing job as well.

Dial M for Murder

This is such a great classic Hitchcock movie. The camera angles, the colors, the story....

Ray Millan and Robert Cummings play great opposite each other. John Williams does excellent as Chief Inspector. His little "mustache play" at the end seems to be a nod towards Poirot.

Grace Kelly is mesmerizing as always. Such a classic woman.

Thor: Ragnarok

It's so funny! And starting with The Immigrant Song just sets a great action tone.

Mute

At moments it was really good and then others were not. An interesting cast to be associated with it as well.

I felt it was an 80s direct to video at times.

The Cloverfield Paradox

This movie would have had a better chance if it didn't have Cloverfield in the title. That being said, you do understand how it ties what has happened together.

The cast does a great job. And does Zhang Ziyi age? I really enjoyed Chris O'dowd as the humorist.

Yes there are some holes. Yes some of it is cliche. It's still a decent flick.

Kong: Skull Island

It's just a fun movie. Don't expect any deep story or such.
