Excellent parallel between Kovacs' torture and Ortega's family reunion. Both show how technology is utilized in the staples of our lives (an interrogation in Kovacs' case and a holiday celebration in Ortega's). Both also has similar theme of treading between life and death.
Kovacs' torture sequence can be done a bit better (especially the "going to next screen" moment, as it seems to be a bit rushed) but it does the job well enough. The most interesting part in this episode for me is Ortega's family reunion, tackling back the question asked since the first episode, "if you can prolong life by simply changing your bodies, would you still do it?" Also, grandma resleeving in a muscular white punk is just too funny. Props to the actor.
Each episode gets better and better. Love the pink backpack :-)
Poe Is the best character of this series.
'Mute' is a beautiful disjointed mess, especially in tone. Netflix movies are like airplane food when it come to cinema. I'm disappointed.
I know it's been rough for Duncan Jones in the last couple of years with his wife (Rodene Ronquillo) diagnosed with cancer and the passing of his father (David Bowie), and now this. It's incredibly sad that Duncan passion project couldn't live up to his vision. The ideas were there, but nothing panned out. I still look forward for what he makes in the future and hoping things work out for him.
Needs more Sam Rockwell thou.
DAMN! What an ending. Yay Charlotte (even though that was very unrealistic, she would've been brain dead).
Wow @ the train being gold.
And Anno reunited, lawd.
The last two eps, I WAS GLUED!
Can't wait for more.
This ep was super intense, wtf. GRETA YOU ARE SO DUMB.
And nooo, Charlotte ;_;
Top quality series: First of its kind in German TV history. Intense dramatic story about the roaring and challenging years around 1929 time in Berlin. A clear „must see“ recommendation.
We can witness a classical Bonnie and Clyde story supported with bit of a Natural Born Killers vibe, two splendid main characters and killer music.
I usually hate to say this, but it totally feels like a movie just split into 8 episodes, so no surprise the whole season has been released at once to binge-watch.
Unfortunately, the uniqeness has lessened after the fifth episode and became a comfort food, also the cliffhanger seemed a bit off, but aside from these little drawbacks, you should definitely check out.
Can't believe all of the negative comments. This was a beautifully shot, well thought out story. Everything in it had a purpose. And that final shot was the clincher. This was a story about the human spirit.
There's so much chemistry between Georgina Campbell (Amy) and Joe Cole (Frank) it cracks the screen.
Talk about shit getting out of hand.
"Mummy? Are you my mummy?"
yay, First appearance of Jack harkness!
That was fucking amazing. I'd be all in for a spin off with Karin and Blue, although the ending might make that a bit difficult. I could listen to that Scottish accent of Kelly Macdonald forever. All the way to the middle of the episode I kept thinking how familiar Blue seemed, so I checked who the actress was. Can't believe she's The Waif from Game of Thrones! Freakin' crazy how different she looked. I'm even more surprised that she's 30! She seemed way younger in GoT, but I guess that was because of Arya.
Anyway, what an episode!
The funny thing is that after the episode ended, I came here to give it some stars.
curiouser and curiouser...what's really in the barrels?
and that Hannah sure is something else...
I have to say the last minutes of this episodes shook me to my core
Okay, that was really cool. Wonderful twist!
What an epic season finale! Geez, Jon Bernthal is The Punisher just like Robert Downey Jr. is Iron Man. This season was really amazing, and not only Bernthal's acting was great, but the rest of the cast too. Just loved it. Ready for season 2.
That shot of Frank walking of the dark wearing the skull outfit was goddamn glorious.
This, Ladies and Gentlemen, is how you do horror!
